Air conditioning in tent

I didn’t remove any tent material. I cut it so that it could be taped back up later if need be.

I’m thinking about covering my tent with some kind of insulation. That might make it easier to keep heated or cooled

I’ve heard on here that each photo needs 200 w to fully bud. Is that correct? If so maybe now that I have ac, maybe I should try my 1000w hps again. It can be turned down to 650w. I could use some advice on this. A 600 w led is going to use almost as much electric as the hps will.

I like this. Wanna run over to set one up for me? Lol
I would give your hps a try.

@Dj351 looks great my friend. I try to keep my room between 75 and 84. So if it were me I would try setting at 77_78 and see how it does :grin::grin::v::v::raising_hand_man:

Hey guys, I plugged her in this afternoon set thermostat at 75. She works like a charm. This is $300 fix that will allow me to grow in warm weather.

Trying to copy your fix since i also fight heat and humidity.

My portable ac has a “side” air intake. —- Am I correct that the intake should pull air from “inside” the tent rather than outside?

Also you made a good point about the thermostat. —- Is the thermostat located where the digital controls are?

@HotAndHumid the intake needs fresh air, not from your tent. The filter needs cleaning every 2 weeks or so. The thermostat on mine is located on top with controls. Mine says not to use continuous drain on cool mode. So I will be emptying tank every day. Hope this helps. Happy Growing

Picked up a portable AC/Heat/Dehumidifier/Fan unit at a local own shop. Works fine for $90. Not a real pretty installation but it works. As luck would have it, the temp outside is mild so I’ll have tow wait a few days for the heat and humidity to return.

Thanks for the suggestion on cooling and dehumidifying my tent.

Looks good.

I would suggest spending more on a top of the line ac unit. Mine is working fine but could be better.

I have one more important addition to make for my tent. I am going to cover my tent with R-15 foil insulation. It comes in a 4’x25’ roll and is only 3 mm thick. Cost is about $70 at Amazon. It may be a week or two before I can afford it. It should help considerably. I will post some pictures when finished.

I like what you did there sir. I bought this one

But I don’t wanna chop up my tent like that. And I run my tent open all day. I don’t have too much traffic in this room

@ChittyChittyBangin i picked up this 12000 btu from Toshiba from Home Depot for $440 and it can be controlled via the app. I have everything on my iPad.

I ran an insulated exhaust hose out the roof into my ceiling
