Above ground and growing

Trying to wrangle humidity down has become a little challenging. My set up ATM

During the day I have small ac infinity low cfm as intake fan set to low (4 inch 100 cfm fan) and my exhaust set halfway (6 inch 400 cfm). I can get it to as low as a out 55 so far. No problem getting temps down. At lights out side vent opens, exhaust set to auto range and it’s a day.

My question is am I going to be cool with 55 rh for all of flower.

I have a little mini dehumidifier and an inkbird I could throw in but space already cramped. May try it. Read heat from humidifier might cause another issue. Thanks.

Be careful with any sort of display in your tent. If they are close enough to your plants they produce enough light to interfere with flower. I don’t like drastic changes in my room so I just drop the rh a couple percent and the temp a degree or two. I’ll do that every few days until I reach my target. If 55% is all you can get your plant should be fine. Here in the desert I don’t really have those problems. Between the grow room A/C and dry air from the intake I have to supplement humidity sometimes. Bear in mind that these are not huge game-changing adjustments. If you do what you can with what you have, I’m sure your girls will be happy

I’m dreading summer. It’s humid here in south east. Keeping lung room 68f and about 50% humidity. Seems to be working.

Had a bud getting tall. So decided to try and snap it. Had to be done. Hope I was in timing window and about the right spot. Just did the one twig.

I had to do the same with some autos i got that weren’t autos. Damn things were 7’ tall before i decided they wouldn’t flower on their own. I ended up giving the biggest one to my dog. He loves the spicy sticks.

She is already straighting up.

You get to see results of the snap? He finish harvest?

Oh ya, i just didn’t have room for all of them. The one I super cropped during flower came out denser than the one I didn’t. They were also in 3 gal pots of coco/pearlite so they got wilted ALOT before they moved to the room with irrigation. The final product was certianly better than I expexted. The 2 produced more than a lb of just ok bud. I call it dub weed cuz I can smoke a joints of it without getting too silly.

Meh, I end up with smoke like that we will vape it or try making butter. I haven’t done to much research on nutes yet. Just something simple.

My watering is increasing. Every two days on point. Should I just dial back on nutes or alternate nutes full strength between waterings?

Honestly I stayed mostly on the low end of giving nutes

My lst kinda stunk lol. But I see says the blind man.

I wouldn’t start dialing back just yet. Watch for her to stop stretching usually 3-4 weeks of flower. Then I start dialing down the N portion and increse P and K portion. Then when the plant starts to ripen at 5-7 weeks depending on strain I’ll start slowly dropping the ec of my nute solution. I like at least a week or two of plain water at the end so the whole plant ripens rather than continuing to grow here and there.

Following along here, New grower as well, in my second grow right now, about 47 days in on a Green Crack from Seedsman. Looking really nice. LST is fine IMO not like the masters that make the plant into Origami but hey whatever works =)
My first grow was a Gorilla Glue from ILGM netted 4.6 ounces after dry /cure

It’s the once in awhile that ya don’t get slapped it pans out for us.

@scotch2cubes Wow great results. Anything special or just go with the flow. Good smoke.

@Gl1tch Thanks for advice on nutes. Feel like I got a little homework to do.

I did mine much like yours

light LST
Mine and yours look almost identical in shape.

I was way way light on nutes the whole way through and she did fine.
I did almost every dose at half what they said and actually really used mainly water only and maybe 3-4 waterings with flowertime phase nutes and she still thrived.
I was using FF soil and had heard that since its initially like ready to roll with nutes I wouldn’t need a lot of supplements

When I got my start we wouldn’t even feed. We started in a 50/50 mix of ffof and roots organics and transplanted often. Then they would go in the ground for flower and get nothing but the occasional molasses water. I still produced a lot of fine kind that way. I do feel the quality has gotten a little better since then, but the consistency and yield has improved a lot.

Sounds like a lot of work having to transplant a lot.

I used happy frog and didn’t nute till day 40. They stayed green. Goal is to mix my own soil before to long. I looked at coco, but something about dirt that touches my soul.

Room getting tight. Wonder if I should crop those? Thoughts? Thanks.

It was some work, but on the bright side it made me a transplant pro. I would have to agree on soil. Coco was a fun experiment and I learned a lot, but I’m going back to soil as soon as my amendments get here. I shouldn’t have tried to back order them. Plus my coco grows were A LOT of work in comparison.
I’m a sadist when it comes to my plants so I would do it on my photos just to see what happens. Not sure how it would affect the autos. How much vertical room do you have?

About 8-10 inches to lights. I’m going to leave and see if it stretches more. Just hate to dial lights back.

It looks close to done stretching to me, but I’m no expert. You should probably save HST techniques for a future grow with photos and a plan.

I was a bit surprised at how much they stretched. Ill definitely tough it out even if I have to dial back.

When I read about coco it sounded like a time sink. Maybe once it’s lined out it’s not to bad. I’ll save that experiment for retirement.

Coco requires constant maintenance. Once I got my routine down and irrigation dialed in it got easier but still a lot of work. For a while I was mixing 45ish gal of nutes every 2-3 days for 6 girls

You mentioned GFOG above. Not sure if the have auto’s but I grew 2 of the photos from ILGM and it was very good smoke. I tried 2 ways when growing, the first I had subpar equipment and used a net.

My 2nd grow, bought a bigger tent and boss light and went for missiles

Did a major defol and lollipop and she grew to within 10" of my light in a 72" tall tent. If you drop some you will not be disappointed.
