Above ground and growing

I have a pump, but still that’s a lot of nutes. I’m sticking with dirt. (For awhile)

I did get my tent set up.

Interface a little different but been running it dry and testing out keeping things where they need to be.

I got what’s supposed to be a gfog autoflower in germ. Not sure I trust the source of where the seed came from.

I want missiles.

genetics are one of the most important aspects of your grow. The way I see it, even at $30 a seed it’s a small price to pay when you consider the time invested and the payoff 1/4 to 1/2 LB of fine kind. I use the random seeds I get for random experiments and to give to friends.

I got a chemdog coming tomorrow. May do that instead.

Please don’t think I’m trying to tell you what to do. Just offering another perspective. If you ask 3 growers how to do it best you will get 3 different answers, and none of them necessarily right or wrong, Just different. I just love sharing my hobby.

You know it. I’m with you. For the time invested, I’d rather have the assurance. Naw my man, I’m seeking input. I haven’t had a hobby in years, and this been one I’ve been wanting to do for 35 years.

Yup, I’ve pretty much been stuck on it for the last 15 or so years and I just cant put it down.

I just want to jump in here and ask about the feedings. I have been doing a lil research today on fertilizers. As of rt now I dont feed every watering, its like every other. Mainly because I know what I’m using is 1 not super strong and 2 probably not the best for this plant. Was looking at the fox farms. Have you used their cultivation set or the individuals?

What medium and nutes are you using now? I did use their granulated cultivation nation once upon a time with decent results. It was one first indoor grows so I can’t really say whether the nutes were good or bad. In my experience fox farms makes a good product, but maybe not the best.

Im using tilth house soil but when I plan to use their bloom soil once i need to repot. Im using GT foilage focus. Which like i said i know itsnt proper so i dont use it every time I water. She’s still small rt now and just now really getting going. So I know im going to need to get some good nutes going.

The bloom soil supposedly helps take some of the guess work out on that end. I really like this company. Its not as big as fox farms but hasnt let me down.

I’m not familiar with those. If you want living soil type solution then you might want to look into top dress mixes. If you want to go the liquid route I hear jack’s is easy but I haven’t used it. I used general hydro for my coco grows. At the end of the day I think it comes down to preference and medium. How old is she? Auto or Photo?

Im going to look into the jacks. Its a auto cookies/cream. This is going into week 4 but she’s been slow growing until recently honestly. By looks you would think it was wk1 maybe 2 compared to how others look. This is my first grow.

There are a few auto growers that say 5-10gal of good soil and molasses tea will get you through an auto grow. I can’t find the posts again, sorry. Do you already have a decent PH and EC meter? Measuring the runoff EC is a good way to calibrate your feedings. We like pics too if you have any.

Sigh. Bet most of you been here. Bad management on my part. Wasn’t really sure what to expect.

About 7 inches to lights. Been running 100% (3 100 watt lights) with no ill effects yet. Will continue.

Anything special I should be on high alert for with my lights. Heat seems good at canopy level. 72- 73 degrees.

Light burn will start with yellowing or bleaching starting at the leaf tips close to the lights and progress to burnt crispy spots.

I dialed the lights back to 80%. Just felt right.

Is it about time to dial back the N and adding more P and K?

If it buys you peace of mind you can google “cannabis light burn”. Light stress can present itself in a few ways. Looks like your pretty close, maybe next feed drop it just a little. At some point you will notice that they stop getting closer to the light and the colas will start getting fatter and produce trichs. That’s the sign that they are shifting to bud production and need more P K to fatten rather than N to get taller. I hope that makes sense

It sure does. I didn’t get a good feel looking at leaves. Little toasty all the way down on tips.

This plant I think has slowed down on stretching. Will drop N a bit next feed on her.

Other plant week behind. I will keep her at regular.

@Gl1tch I’m seeing trichs starting with loupe. @John7 recommend a microscope. Will look into it after work.
