About to harvest first plant

Im looking for info and ideas on how to harvest and cure my plants. I am a first time grower and this is my first time harvesting one also. I plan on building a dry box out of wood to hang buds in. Im doing this in my bedroom. Smell is not an issue. My humidity is low 30-35%. This may be my only option to dry bud. Will this work? How should i do it? Do i need a fan in it or around it? Any pointers or help is apreciated. I have no idea what im doing.

Jeweler loupe for $10 on Amazon takes the guess work out of the equation. You can use a Cardboard box for drying. Closet works as well.

Get a box big enough to hold you crop. Make sure to tape all the lids shut on one end. Masking tape will prevent light leaks. Once in close it up the best way you can. Like hang a towel over the one also you close and open.

Drying is simple. You don’t want dry buds so you go after buds that feel like cotton balls. My drying times is never the same. But I know what to do from my learning curves.

A fan will dey it out way to fast. Think of a $10 bottle of wine vs. $500 bottle. Weed gets better with age while in my Mason jars. :+1:

I use a cardboard box to dry in

Punch holes in top and push stems thru. Hold the stem with binder clips.
You can use boxes that break down to store them when not used.

I am in desert with low humidity also, I hang my buds for 3 to 4 days in closet, then I pop off all the colas, if still to damp lay out over night on paper, if dry enough put into jars burping every day till desired dryness.

This is my dry rack.

Luckily we have 2 bathrooms. Its the only place in the house that has the space ro dry. I did closet at first. Them closet and a cardboard box. My plants wouldn’t fit in a Refrigerator Box now.

The first photo…the middle and right side plant was 7’6” tall. I had to cut the top off so I could get it out of the tent. Plus it would be sitting on the floor drying.
