A few autoflower questions

Will do, I’ll give this a go. Appreciate the help. One more question though, so I bought a soil meter, around what time should I be giving them water? When the meter reads dry or moist? And how deep should I be putting the soil meter in.

For sure, I had to do a ton of research and understanding everything as a beginner grower can be quite difficult. PPM, PH, nutrients, etc. There’s so much! All in time though

:joy: yea that’s why I chose organic more forgiving imo so far. I ph going in and never water to runoff.

Hate to tell ya Brother but those moisture meters are unreliable. A lot of soil growers use a dry and wet weight for watering or feeding, you’ll get accustomed to lifting the pot and know when to water. You’re close to watering to run off. I usually start this at node 4-5, critical to water or feed to approximately 20% of what you’re putting in to run out the bottom of the pot :love_you_gesture:

I put in about a litre 3 days ago, the soil is still a tiny bit moist on top, I can send a picture in a second. Sadly I know they are unreliable but it still gives you a slight reading which you can base off of. The litre itself gave it a bit of runoff, is this too much water?

Soil likes a wet to dry cycle, bigger the pot the longer it takes until they start eating more :love_you_gesture:

You’re good at the moment for the little run off, it’s the frequency that gets a lot of soil growers. Wet to dry cycle :love_you_gesture:

Shouldn’t be necessary with an organic grow :love_you_gesture:

Gotcha! Appreciate the help. If the top bit is still a tiny bit moist should I wait longer until watering again? Here’s a picture to show it as an example.

At least 1.5-2 days. You can always do the old school 2nd knuckle trick. How far down the fabric pot seems wet/damp.

Gotcha, today is the third day of no watering, I’ll let it go for another, might dry up by tmrw. I also have clay pebbles at the bottom to help with airation

Recently found out I didn’t need them with a fabric pot

No harm, no foul… I do this for plants that sit in saucers that are not set for continuous bottom feed.

Good deal, early growth frequency will be longer. Once they get going you’re probably good every 3rd day. Is that a 5 gallon pot?

No it’s a 3 gallon, Might upgrade to bigger pot later though, more yield right?

Will try this out on the next run. Great info

I grow only in 3 gallon bags and average around 5-6 zips per plant. 9.6 zips is my best from a Sour Diesel auto . autos shouldn’t be transplanted more than once and personally recommend around day 12-14 :love_you_gesture:

Right on Brother, I did a solid year of journaling autos with HST, veg times and flower times and sometimes luck helps :love_you_gesture:

Nice I heard 3 gallons were the way to go cause they won’t get “MUCH” bigger in yield in bigger pots.

Still learning the auto game and all the training.
Here is an auto with just LST 43 days old. 5 gal fabric pot with coco

And this is the same plant at 94 days old
