How much silica do all of you suggust for soil grow and jacks321? Per gal?
3-5 ml per gallon and mix 1st then jacks
I’ve never gone the full 5 ml.
Looking to add it to my jacks due to alot of use by people smarter than I. When do you start as i dont start feeding till 800/1000 tds readings (using Roots Organic soil)
The first feed chart I used started at .5ml per gallon on day 7. It increases incrementally up to about half the recommended dose around the flip and stays there until it backs down late in flowering. I’m sure others use it differently, especially in different mediums, but Dr. Coco’s methods have served me well so far.
I start Silica after the seedling stage (14 days). My water source is low and realistically not considered at 70 PPMs. Jacks at full strength with silica comes out around 900 for me sometimes a tad higher or lower
since you have the amended soil maybe water in the silica at 3 ml
Thanks, do you add the Si with feed weeks only as i feed water feed etc.
2-3 ml should be plenty for the feed days imo. Just not needed as much in soil but is still worth increasing the plants temp tolerance and strength. Its preference for when to start using as well. Just be aware it will stiffen up your branches quite a bit so if planning on lst, use accordingly. Good luck.
I run silica from the time they’re transplanted into final homes and use 3 ml per 5 gallon throughout the entire grow. Coco and Autopots.
Trying to fine tune my grow if you will
