7th Week, Leaves Turning Pale

Hello again you fabulous, wonderful peeps. I think my small tent has a killer tomato attitude. Has killed off 2 crops due to my lack of ability, ignorance is more like it, but learning.

Ever since I noticed a Potassium and calcium deficiencies,(last 2 crops) been adding half portions of cal-mag and epson salts to every waterings. Had nice greens going on, till this week. Leaves now getting pale and new leaf growth appears wrinkled.

I have a feeling if I let this go, I will murder another crop.

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Are you still giving her Nitrogen? All in all they look good. A bit o N might help to darken them up but the leaf color is consistent.

Sorry I am still learning. What kind of nitrogen nute would you suggest?
Thank you for the response.

I use Mother Earth 2-4-4 during flower with a bloom booster of 0-10-10 if needed. During Veg I use a 7-9-5 NPK If I need to feed. I am one of the anomolies here as I transplant 4 times. Every 4 weeks until she is in her final home which is either a 7 or 10 gallon. I honestly do not need to nute until the 3-4th week of flower.

NPK first number is nitrogen? I am going into maybe 7th week. Now if I mess with the nitrogen, I could risk lockout and possible damage/death? Would the nitrogen be a separate watering? As of now I water in AM when lights turn on, then again when lights turn off and seems to be working well. I am learning…

Yes in order listed Nitrogen Phosphorous Pottasium.

Good chart if in soil

Not sure why you think you will lockout or kill your plant by giving a bit of nutes. You do need to know your pH going in and the run off pH to ensure a lockout does not happen and the PPM’s so you know how much she is eating so you do not feed her when she is above 1000 ppm’s .

If in soil, you do not water multiple times a day. You flood her then wait 3-5 days depending on container size, let her dry out so the roots get O2 and then repeat.

On Ph like a madman. 6.5 in organic soil. I had several issues in small tent with 2 crops dieing. I did every thing that I could do, even Alex from ILGM ran out of possibilities, its like my small tent is hexed or something.

I have read so much information on nutes that it make my head spin, one says this, millions of others say that. I understand it’s a learning curve. Just know what works today. Have read that lockout may not be recoverable.

I just purchased a name brand ppm and learning. Oh I noticed my filtered tap water is at 4000ppm. 3-5 days for waterings?!?! I missed one evening waterings and all the plants were wilting hard next morning. Even checked weight and they were light. I go through 2 gallons for 18 plants.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this to a simpleton like me, I really appreciate it.

This is false. Lockout if due to pH can be rectified by doing a simple soil reset. Flush the crap out of it with 6.5 pH water until ppm’s and pH is in range. Then you give her a good feed to get back up to 1000ppm’s and then wait for the next regular watering.

Again, cannabis likes flood to drought. I always water SLOWLY, 1-2 cups at a time and let that sink in. It takes me about 15-30 minutes to water based on how big of a pot she is in at the time. Specific example: When I am in a 7 gallon pot, I will water her with about 1-1.5 gallons, get my 15-20% run off and do not water her again for 3-5 days depending on pot weight.

Based on how you stated this you must think this is not correct and I promise it is. Need some back up @OGIncognito @MidwestGuy @Myfriendis410

100% agree. You mentioned your tap water source at 4000 PPMs?? I’ve never seen or heard of that and if true is extremely toxic :love_you_gesture:

I was going to mention that as well. Typical tap is usually 150-400.

I would calibrate the TDS pen and re-test :love_you_gesture:

No sir, I am the greenhorn and the help I receive is the word of God. I deeply appreciate it. I missed one watering and all the girls were wilting hard.

If there is any Masters who need an “old” grasshopper, I wish to learn the ways.

Me needs to calibrate and LEARN how to use devise, my stupidity.

Filtered tap water at 900ppm.

All really great advice. @Bonjoyle I was beginning to think I was the only one around here that transplants more than once.

Might I recommend you start a journal and post your questions there in one place. I’ve been trying to keep up with your posts but it can be quite difficult with so many different topics. Then we can all see where you’ve been and be better informed to help you next time. Not that I’m a master…yet.

@Zgro keep this post as your grow journal and tag some growers from the community with the @ symbol before their name for help or questions :love_you_gesture:
