6 bruce banner auto seed failures in a row

So six bb auto seeds in a row failed to germinate. Using the 24 hour soak than paper towels baggie route.

Was successful in 5 previous grows with this same batch of seeds. Very very frustrating. Notified support and they asked me to keep trying with the few remaining seeds and then let them know and we could work on replacing.

I’m kinda ok with that but this really has screwed up my perpetual grow. Got 3 photo’s in early flower now and had planned to have at least one auto in the grow at all times.

So told them i would comply but have ordered other strain autos from different seed banks for now as i have a trust issue and need to get more autos in my grow asap

If your not happy try i different seed bank and genetics and if u still have the same problem then take a step back and look at what ur doing

@Billsmetro Something I believe, but have no proof of, is that seeds from some man-made strains are very sensitive to temperature for germination. In the last couple years I have had to modify my germinating technique to better monitor the temperature during germination in the paper towel. Not saying this is your issue just figured I would throw this out there just in case…one old grower to another

Ilgm is the only seed company that guarantees the seed to pop or replacement. One of the best for customer service also. If u have ana issue they will fix it. Grant it it will take the time to figure out if the others germ or not but they will fix what’s broken. Lol. Never grown the BB autos here so I cannot say if I know of any issues being had with that strain or not. Most seed banks would turn shoulder at emails about seeds not germing or growing. Ilgm is just the opposite wishing u luck on the rest. If not set in a warm area of high 70 to mid 80s temps I’d see about. Setting the seeds on a napkin on a plate and set the plate on a heat pad on med or low to keep it all warm. Heat helps a ton as it softens the shells alot faster.

I respect and usually order from ilgm. Im just not certain about this bb batch. As noted in my text the first group germinated and grew without problems.

Second batch is the opposite of success. In addition i always use seedling heat mats to ensure constant temperatures.

Again this is not a criticism of ilgm. I know they will replace my seeds. But im now over a month behind in my grows and needed to move something forward before i run out of what i need .

Thanks for all of your advice and suggestions

Will do

@Billsmetro I hear u my man. I bought a mix pack of autos with GSC, GG4 and Bruce Banner and I’ve been able to grow and sprout every other seed except the Bruce Banner ones. I have the auto flower pack like u do, I’m gonna email them again, I already told them two have failed to pop and now I’m on the third, I’m pretty sure they will replace them tho without issue. I’m just waiting til I try growing all 5 before I ask for the replacement ones but just email them and explain the situation, they’re customer service is great and they respond pretty quickly.

Yep they are a great company. Just seems some of these bb autos are erratic. The five that did grow were great averaging a little less than 1 ounce each and packed a couch lock wallop. Thats the main reason i want them all to grow. Lol

Try getting some Ethos autos from North Atlantic Seed Bank. Dont give upnon ILGM though. They will replace seeds that don’t pop. Homegrown will also replace seeds that won’t pop as well. I thinks sometimes it comes down to genetics with autos.

What’s with the prices on NASC?

Depends on the genetic. Example 6 autos from Ethos will run around 75.00. Then you’ll usually get 2 seeds from NASC and 2 free from Ethos.
I also got some from Dutch Passion and the were 50.00 for 6 and got 4 freebies from NASC.
I ordered Purple Thai from Ethos and they sent 2 Pluto Runtz which were pre release. The Pluto Runtz are rocking flowers all over. The purple Thai has a good amout. I also got Glueberry OG and Night queen from Dutch Passion and the are just starting to flower, but they look like 2 bushes.

I admit I am new to autos as these bb are my first. And i don’t present myself as a cannabis expert but i have been growing indoors and out for 7 years. All photos and with varying success rates. Learned a lot from the forum.

I’ll try some more autos…have amnesia haze and ggc coming and hope for the best

I can tell you dark wizard genetics are great thats what i use i get them through sticky seeds uk this plant is dark wizard genetics

This GSCA and critical purple auto theres one pic of a critical purple auto bud the third pic is critical purple auto

No doubt Dark Wizard has some good beans. I got GSC and Grape Ape. Both did very well.

Very nice

I had the same experience with Wedding Cake auto-feminized seeds. ILGM customer support had a standard protocol but replaced the seeds that never popped. However, only 2 of 5 of the replacements successfully germinated.

Same method: wet paper towel

I never sent customer support another notification that some of the replacements failed. The entire process is too time consuming so chalked it up as a loss :person_shrugging:t3:

I do have other genetics now which i will use in my next grow probably i have barneys farm seeds and fastbuds 420 and others but all my big autos have been from dark wizard genetics

@Billsmetro I had the same issue, I tried germinating all 5 and not one popped. I emailed them yesterday and they’re already sending free replacement seeds today. Just send em an email and explain the situation, they’ll take care of u

Interesting. What they told me is to try the remaining seeds and then let them know about replacement.

Bit different response isn’t it?

I germed six bb autos no problem might just be a bad batch. I would guess they told you to try the rest first so they know how many replacement seeds will be needed. If they send out 6 now then you have 4 more that don’t germ they’ll have to mail another 4 instead of just replacing all 10 at once.
