4x8x7 New grow tent and light set up

So I just bought a 4x8x7 tent and I also have a 2x4x5 tent. I have 2x100HLGs and 3 1200wAtt Philzon lights ( 241 actual watts per light). What I would like to do is run all 5 lights in the big tent. P-HGL-P-HLG-P is what I was thinking. Is this best bet or should I run the 2x100s in the smaller tent? And leave the philzon to their own demise lol I know their now the best lights but I paid 310 bucks for 750 watts of power.

I was going to scrogg the 4x8 with 4 plants in 7Gallon fabric buckets.

2 tents and offset the grows or one big grow ??

I was concerned about heat in tent, I got ability to lower temp dues to living in cold climates.

Do you know if your HLG 100s are 3500k or 4000k?

3000k

I vegged with the 3000s last grow and it turned out great

Was thinking I could use the philzon for the veg plant then toss them all on for the rest.

Could you swing adding a 600w hps to the 4x8 along with the Phizon lights? I don’t know if you already own a fan/duct/filter.

Yeah I have lots of gear but I’m not interested in any HPS or MH. Prefer to run leds

Little low of watts SQ Ft hey with just the philzon

I’m just thinking, and it sounds like you’re aware, that’s too little light for an entire 4x8.

Maybe you could use foam core to make a hanging partition?

I was thinking maybe I could just grow maybe 6x3 section of it to get my numbers up. To be honest I’m nervous about the 600 watt catching fire. I leave for periods of time. I could buy another led light if need be to run both tents.

I don’t know that the HPS lights are more prone to starting fires. I don’t think they’re inherently more likely to catch fire on their own. They’re affordable, that’s why I brought them up. But peace of mind is priceless, so LED sounds good.

Could you spend $500 on a HLG led to cover the additional area?

I been looking, it’s a possibility.

Should clarify , my wife read some news of those lights having fires, like u said anything has the chance to catch fire.

You can’t go wrong with HLG. So you may want to upgrade so you don’t need to run so many lights in a tent.

You’ve got options. The HLG 100s will cover the smaller tent. The philzons will cover about half the larger tent; you could hang a curtain to minimize light loss. Or you could add a light or two to cover the additional 4x4, and I think you can build one for less than $500.

Don’t tell the boss you built it though.

Haha if she only knew the money I’ve spent lol

If you’re going to keep the 2x4 going I would leave the two hlg-100’s in there. It just makes sense to me that way because they are ideal lights to have in there.

Ok, maybe like this guy said👆 I’ll just flower half the tent

I took your advice and bought a 1000W air cooled HID

A 600w would probably be enough, if you want to save a little money on electricity. Also, with a 1000w, the other lights, and fans/filters I think you’re exceeding the capacity of a 15amp/110 circuit, just FYI.
