Should I do 48 hours of dark does it really do any thing or not

I haven’t noticed any difference between chopping them down when the lights are on or after 3 days of dark.

I’ve never put my plants through a dark period. I don’t get the point and my weed turns out just fine.

This will be my 2nd run with a dark period, I didn’t notice a difference on the 1st harvest and giving it the benefit of doubt. But I’m doubtful 
I always do the 48hours of darkness before harvesting it makes the plant produce more trichomes and more frosty
I personally think it’s another passing fad… of course I tried it once didn’t notice a difference so never tried again
With @MeEasy , trying for the 2nd time but the verdict is still out. In my experience it’s the dry and cure that’s important once you get to this point
