Dropped seeds for my third grow today. Three seeds for third grow. SanFernando Valley, Agent Orange, and Purple Train Wreck. Soaking in water for 24hrs, then straight into small pots.
All are welcome to follow. Still a noobie so any tips or advice along the way is greatly appreciated.

Purple Train Wreck sounds interesting. Never heard of SanFernando Valley. I’ll have to check it out.

I got some SFV OG from a dispensary a while back and it was awesome. I love the taste. Had a nice energy high to it. Helped me keep things rollin.

Super excited about this grow. Last grow was mystery seeds. It’s gonna be nice to actual know what strain I’m growing. SFV, and AO are my wife’s favorites. Both excellent head, energy highs.

Last grow, I just topped and let them grow, I was thinking about trying to Scrog this go around. Then I did some research on mainlining, and am thinking to try that. Have any of you done either, what are the pros and cons of each? Still pretty new to growing and don’t want to get in over my head, with to advanced techniques.
I love growing in the scrog to get the most out of my lights. I considered trying mainlining and did some research on it but I’ve yet to try.

Ok I did a little research and this is what I came up with @Onebassgod . Anyone feel free to add on if you so choose.
So basically with a
SCROG:
Pros:
You have an even canopy which distributes the light evenly.
You get the most efficient use of space.
It might be faster than mainlining if you use multiple plants. It all depends what size space you want to fill in my opinion.
Trim off everything underneath the scrog net to avoid airy buds.
Better airflow
Cons:
No big fat main cola. Longer veg times.
More maintenance because of training the plant such as topping, supercropping, etc. Which will induce stress and need recovery time. Depending on your setup it could make it slightly more difficult.
Mainlining
Pros
It is all about bigger yields
Airflow is enhanced, which also boosts gas exchange in leaves.
very low-maintenance once its setup. After that it’s just about maintaining the canopy
They say you get more out of what you put in the plant.
I think it might be a bit slower because you have to shape the way the whole plant grows.
Cons
One downside of main-lining is the time it takes because the plants undergo stress during topping and low stress training and need extra time to recover. It all depends on how much topping and training you’re going to do.
Here is a few thing on it I found that might help you decide too.
Hopefully this helps. Happy growing

@Noctis420 thanks for the info! That is pretty much what I was thinking, seems like the scrog is more intensive and if you have issues it’s harder to deal with due to the net and all. I grow in a 4x4x8 tent, so have plenty of room. I’m gonna have to think on it some more. May start another seed for my small tent to learn the techniques and just do these the same as last grow. Just too and lightly prune through the growth cycle.

I’m currently scrogging a blue cheese in a 4x4 if you want to take a look. Check that out here Noc's 2020 Grow Journal - #39 by Noctis420

Nice, that’s a good looking crop you have going. Great information there as well. Gives me a lot to think on. Luckily have a little time to decide.

PTW sprouted yesterday, so 3 for 3 on the seed starting! Five days from seed drop to sprouts. Soaked in water with 20% h2o2 for 24 hrs, all seeds sunk to bottom. Moved straight into domed solo cups filled with ffof. Did last grow the same way, am having 100% success rate sprouting with that technique so far!
