3 weeks G13 Autoflower preflower or full blown?

That sounds great. I’ve been looking at their site and have an account on Grow Diaries. Will give them a try…probably buy from Seedsman.

I’m loving my current experience with autos (4 x ILGM GG4 autos) and will definitely continue with them.

Going to try a variety of 3 or 4 different strains next time…all autos. Going the organic route next time with a mixture of Pro-Mix BX with Mycho, Black Gold Natural and Organic soil and Earth Dust for food.

Have all of the ingredients for next grow and will start getting soil mixed and cooked in a few days. Then just need to order some seeds which should be here by the time the soil is ready.

Current grow below is 5-6 weeks since breaking ground (GG4 autos). No training or anything. First time I’ve tried to grow since the 80’s so didn’t want to get fancy this time around.

Been reading up on current tech and processes…and things have certainly changed. There’s a wealth of knowledge here and I appreciate all the experienced growers sharing their trials, tribulations and triumphs with their girls.

Those look great! I completely quit using humbolts nutes on this grow and am only using the Coast of Main plant food, bud n blossom, and earth work castings as a topper. Im using stonington blend soil. Im also givibg them a lil organic molasses with watering now.

Your girls look good and healthy too…about same age as mine. I just went with Bergman’s nutes since I got the seeds from ILGM. I got some Cal-Mag too since I’m using distilled water only.

Can’t wait to try the Earth Dust with organic soil…just to see what the differences are with maintenance during grow and end product, if any.

What does the molasses do? I’ve seen it mentioned here a few times.

Heres the quick explanation:

Molasses is recommended for the speedy growth on a variety of plants like tomato plants . Make sure you are using unsulphured blackstrap molasses – molasses which have sulphur dioxide added. The unsulphured part is important because sulfur is generally used as a preservative which kills microbes ( taken from the net)

Its basically like junk food is to us…

I bet my girls would like some junk food for a change…will look for some at the store next time I go…thanks.

Make sure its organic. They had cheaper stuff at WallyWorld, i think i paid 8 or 9 bucks for a decent sized jar… 24 hours later and…

Your girls look great. How often do you feed them a molasses tea and how do you make it?

I finally found some after looking at 3 stores…found at Publix.

@bluejean

I usually dilute 2 tablespoons in warm water to each gallon. What i found is that the molasses will make your PH nearly perfect. My city tap is 7.5 and after i dilute 2 tablespoons it levels out at 6.5… as far as how often? I will give them a dose every 2 weeks. Ive seen some folks use it every watering, but i dont wanna over do it lol. A little goes a long way! Btw, you replied just as i was tucking the girls in for bed… heres a few shots of 2 different plant, both G13 taken tonite.

@bluejean Welcome to the Earthdust club!

Thanks…anxious to get started with it. :slightly_smiling_face: I’m letting the soil cook for a month before I drop the beans.

After reading the boards here for the last month or so, I think the lower maintenance Earthdust method fits me perfect. I want a hobby to enjoy in retirement…not a lot of work and tedium. :rofl:

I’ve grown hot peppers (Ghost, Carolina Reaper, Habranero, Tobasco, etc) for years outside in large pots and they are really hearty and low maintenance. Water when they droop and top dress about once a month.

Dry them for planting next season, make salsa’s and dips…and give a bunch away.

Tobasco

Habranero

Carolina Reaper

Not sure what these are below. Peppers are known for crossing if different types are planted near each other. I think they were a ghost pepper/carolina reaper cross. Anyway they were hot.

Morning harvest…these were dried for seed.

It was reading yours, @MeEasy and @Storm threads that convinced me to try Earthdust. I love the idea of mainly just watering every day to keep the soil moist or damp and let it do the rest.

All of the pics y’all have posted of your grows in Earthdust show extremely happy, healthy plants…so I thought, yep, this is for me…

Figured i have a month or so to go… so why not chop the top outta my sunset sherbert so she has time to recover… she was well over 4 ft…

Meant to check back earlier on the sunset sherbert you chopped…had to make unexpected road trip for family (we’re all old and falling apart now…lol).

How’s she looking today…has she fully recovered from the top chop?

@bluejean oh yea… shes spat out 4 inches…
