3-way soil meter

My Question is, what should this meter read for lighting during flower?? I dont have a normal grow light set-up. Im using LED lights and have 2 smart bulbs in there for Red if that helps any. Lol. 5-650 Lumen LED and the 2 Smart LED bulbs.

These combo meters are notoriously inaccurate Grow Bro. I run around 850 PPFD or a DLI of 42ish - 50 on a 12/12 light schedule :love_you_gesture:

OG is right. Even the moisture readings aren’t very reliable. Lifting the bag to check the weight can be much easier.

@SaltyDawg23 enough for what? Maybe can veg a little with them if you have them super close but not really they are only 11 watts per bulb

Not a chance i am afraid. 1 thing to remember as mantra. The lights run it all. A good light will be the primary driver of your grow. Period.
Besides damping off sprouts, the purchase of substandard lighting to begin with is 1 of the main mistakes made. Bite the bullet and buy the light you want first. Consider a 5 year lifespan. If cant spring for a good new 1 hit up Facebook marketplace for a used high quality light. Can get 800.00 lights for 200.00 with only 1 or 2 seasons. Many failed commercial grows are liquidating all the gear at 20% of value or so. 2 seasons leaves you 3.5 years on the light. Nickle and diming the main component in your grow will cost you 3 times the cost of your light to start out at least. This is MY opinion on this but learned through experience.
As for that meter. Its accuracy is very suspect. That being said a grow style like mine it would work just fine. Caveman simple top dressed living soil with only water and amend at set times. I run on general parameters with no testing or extreme control. That would give a guy like me a simple optic of where I am in general. These are my thoughts on it. Make lemonade out of that lemon and use it for what it can do. If going to be a numbers guy it will not suffice. Stay around and take these guys advice. The numbers folk will lead you straight. if going organic/living soil there are others here with it lined out. Good luck and lets grow lots of good flower my friend.

Any grow light recommendations for a budget at the moment? Like a cheap budget for now?

used or new? Check marketplace in your area first if a budget. Can get some well respected models for almost nothing. if it is a failed commercial grow they will have something like 50 lights retailing 800 to 1k each for 200 bux. They always deal and can negotiate down 50 bux as the market is FLOODED with these. We have a small business and my main job is procurement for us. Wife is the boss so only money I see is in her wallet lmao. otherwise seek a higher end light for your grow size as a 1 and done purchase. First good grow will pay for it 2 times. Tent size or area? That number will give us a wattage we need. As for diodes we want the good stuff right off the rip. 4x4 tent at 600w. Solid amounts of the lights around for 150 bux if look. try to avoid personal sellers unless they just have a bang up deal. Typically much higher than the guys moving out 20 plus lights at wholesale. I understand the budget and wanting to save but this particular part of your grow is the no cheapie part.
