That is an absolutely beautiful sight! Do you live on that lake, or just growing there haha?
I live on a river actually. Its extremely wide so It does kinda seem like a lake. My favorite thing to do around here is sit next to my weed and watch the sunset as well as the plant itself. Itās very calming, and surprisingly a cure for my boredom. The only thing tht can be considered a down side is the strong winds. It does call for a strong stem, and Iāve yet to hav a plant snap due to wind, so it works out surprisingly well, and it is a beautiful site indeed.
Thatās awesome! Where do you live if you donāt mind me asking? Or what river? Iām so jealous!
Itās nothing to envy really, just the caloosahatche river, ft Myers fl. Itās actually really shallow and isnāt the best for fishing, but it does have an entriguing view. I would rather be on the beach, but beggars canāt be choosers.
My family has a house in New Port Richey, Fl so Iām not too far from you haha!
How has growing outdoors been for you @idek? Iāve been curious about trying an outdoor grow in Florida next time I went down.
I like it so far. Nice sunlight and whatnot. It my be a little hot and humid, but my last girls did just fine. Iāll just say waaayyyy better than the shitty bag seed they were from. The heat doesnāt seem to bother them, hell I even start my seedlings outside. As long as u find a nice, disclosed area, u donāt really need to do anything besides feed. The plant pretty much grows itself! Thnx to the constant rain, u will never hafta water. Very easy going, but Iād recommend growing a haze or something more sativa to prevent mold. Thnkfully for me, thatās my favorite type of bud. The only other negatives Iāve come across are insects, but once ur plant gets big enough u donāt hav to worry about them, usually.
Clones are doing well. New growth is light green/yellow color, while older leaves are dark green, only on clones, āmotherā plant not experiencing this. Also, the āmotherā plant is getting too big, starting to get a little noticeable to neighbors. Moving soon, so Iām going to have to move them anyways. Guerilla might be the only option. Luckily I found a spot where I can hit up a bunch of lakes on the way, and maybe catch some bass. Found a remote pond far out in the vegetation, planning on starting a plot close to the pond. That way I can fish and smoke weed. Gonna need to bring some serious bug spray, the spots surrounded by trees and thick brush, places where only mosquitos can fit through the cracks. Bringing a team if Iām going to have to move the 20 gal monster. Going to be a trip. About 2 mile from the house Iām most likely going to be moving in. One of the clones has been list due to me trying to change light schedule to 12/12, accidentally fried it. Anyways, hereās some pictures:
Very stoned, so I have no idea how that turned out.
One more thing, the big plant seems to make an excess of resin, so much so itās visible on the leaves and the stem. Is this normal for veg? It really looks like a hermie, hoping it will produce sensimelia, may have to pay attention to this one. To much time and effort have been put into this plant to get nothing in return, I guess even if I donāt achieve anything, I would still hav a good learning experience? Idk, just want some bud!
Honestly if it were me and that was the only one I had going I would grow it out since there is no risk of pollinating other females and just make a concentrate or a oilā¦it wonāt be the best but it would be somethingā¦THAT IS IF ITāS A HERMI!!! it kinda looks like it but patienceā¦
Thanks for the advice, I was planning on waiting it out till ik for sure. If itās hermie, Iāll do my best to keep the weed as seedless as possible, male; brownies. The preflowers thus far have been unidentifiable, they donāt look like normal preflowers, so the only thing I though of was hermie, did a lil research and might hav just confirmed my suspicions. Weāll see, all I really want is some bud tbh, but tht would depend on this grow.
Just moved! (Didnāt have internet for a while which was the reason for my inactive.) My big girl, yes girl, has been through a lot. A day in the U-Haul, and another traped in a hot enclosed space, it used to be a garage but the house was remodel, so itās just the first few feet of the garage. Pretty sure it use to be a grow house, outlets every where, including the cieling, and it has a shed with yet another fake garage, but this one doesnāt open, that both have grow room looking qualities. Gonna get some grow lights and start some indoor as well as out. She was in dark for a good 48 hours, and sheās showing preflowers, I no longer think she is a Hermie, but the preflowers still look a little strange, shes a little dehydrated but sheāll be fine. It wasnāt really the easiest thing to move, in a 20 gal that shit was soooo heavy, even with someone helping me out. Coolest location ever, caught a 2-3 foot alligator today too, even got a battle scare to prove it. Letās just say, keep a firm grip when ur holding one, especially when ur passing it to someone else, all in all, Iām like this house more and more, fishing and catching alligatorās as well as turtles is quiet enjoyable, to say the least. A lil painful as well, but it was worth the experience, Iāll post some pics later.
Whereās the new house? Sounds like my kind of area!
Ikr, I love it so far. Itās in ft Myers, close to Riverdale if that helps. Itās a normal suburban neighborhood, with canals all around, right next to the caloohsahatchee, about 10 miles from my other house. Itās keeping me entertained so far, canāt wait to see what the fishing looks like. So far Iāve seen plenty a 3+ pound gar, Iām kinda new to FL (been here for 2 years) so can anybody tell me if theyāre edible? And, this house should allow me a constant supply of weed, I canāt waitš
Donāt know how but you can make what they call āGar Ballsā!
Searched it up and it looks pretty good to me. I think the gars hear are edible, and Iāve read u can fish them with a bow and arrow, Iām sure a diving spear will suffice, got one from wally for like $20
Update: Unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances, I had to pull my plant. Tbh, someone almost got a good look at them and I just canāt risk it. I plan on starting an indoor grow, hopefully soon, but weāll see. Making some baked goods with its remains atm, teared up when I pulled her out the 20gal, waiting to get my deposit back, and then Iām planning on getting a 400w Mars hydro, hopefully this will suffice, thinking of putting 2-3 plants under it. This time Iām definitely getting feminized, kinda want to get the same strain and something new. It was pretty rough, but letās just call it a ālearning experienceā.
