@BigTrout found these 2 bugs on the underside of the leaf, not sure what they are but my spraying was successful
If it grasshoppers theres not much you can do but catch and kill by hand. They dont eat much in the grand scheme of things. I clip off way more leaves than the grasshoppers can eat. For all other bugs, “Dont use neem oil on flowering plants”. Captian jacks can be used all the way to harvest. Spray 3 to 4 days in a row then wait a few days then do it again. Once you have them under control spray once every few days for preventive maintenance. A chewed up leaf here and there wont hurt the plant. Those kind things have been going on for billions of years. The grasshoppers usually go away by the 2nd week of full flower. Ive never had grasshoppers once there’s visible trichomes. Not saying it’s not possible, just speaking from my own experience.
Those look like aphids. If you see ladybugs around thats what they’re eating.
@plumbdand Thankyou for the help I’m going to do my best to get it under control now before it goes any further
Aphids are hard to kill. Also check for ants they farm aphids. If you see a lot of ants on your plants find there colonies and poison them. Some people i know will take one of their plants and use and abuse it so that it’s more susceptible to to pests. Then they plant it 20-30ft away to lure the bugs away from their main crop. There are other types of plants that can divert the bugs attention away from your MJ
I think someone told me Soapy water kills Aphids, Not sure though, I’m using neem oil right now, but I’ll switch to Jacks during flowering, it stinks but I can’t find any insects on my plant’s other than a grandaddy longlegs and a grasshopper or two
@plumbdand im just trying to do the best I can at fighting the insects so come harvest they don’t ruin the crop!! Really my one concern is mites!!
That’s a tough thing about growing outside, is bugs so many types and what might kill one , won’t phase the other, I sprayed today they want to chop and chew after all that rain my wheelbarrow was almost half full , im using a 3 gallon pump sprayer
@Nip i have the same exact one they work awesome, this is my first grow to where I see them every day when normally you set them out and check every couple weeks
I check mine everyday with visions of Bud’s dancing in my Head!
This is what I use https://www.amazon.com/Concrobium-200-620810-Mold-Control-Fogger/dp/B0026SZCCK/ref=mp_s_a_1_19?crid=2VINIINQQVO8H&keywords=fogger&qid=1686627198&sprefix=fogg%2Caps%2C282&sr=8-19#
I have some pump sprayers too that I use for spraying a garlic spray. To chase away grasshoppers. Dont know if it works but it makes me feel better. The problem with greenhouses is if you get spider mites or aphids the predatory bugs cant find a way in so you have to put them in there. My 5x10 dog run greenhouse has huge openings for airflow. That lets more predatory insects find there way inside. Ive always had less problems in there compared to my 10x12 store bought greenhouse
It’s safe to say the ladies are loving life and finally hitting their stride judging by the way they are forming probably going to pick up a roll of cage 6ft tall with 3" spacing to wrap around each one to stabilize and train during this season, also will be running 2 do-si-do free seeds from the NASC in my 3x3 for my first ever indoor run, need to pick up a PH and EC meter and then we will be all set, not sure if I will create a new thread or continue this one. Hope all is well Growmies!!!
They are looking awsome bro
Looking Good Man ! Getting Bushy
Treated the soil to a gallon of Humic acid mixed with water each lastnight before dark and they are loving it !!
