2 plant tent and light kit online

Ts 1000 and ts 2000 are just the versions of the light for Mars hydro and spyder farmer (sf). The actual power draw from the ts and at 1000 is 100w I believe and 200w from the 2000. The reason I recommended one of those two for you is because it’s easy and you get everything in one environmental wise besides your Growing medium seeds etc. You will be able to order this set up and put it together and get some seeds and either soil or coco and some nutrients and just start. And it’s good quality enough for you to produce some really decent results. I won’t lie though you will be didn’t to upgrade from this setup shortly after your first two successful grows haha because you will want more and to grow more :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

How tight is your budget really? Because now that I’m thinking about it and what not the sf or ts 1000 is honestly less than ideal for even one plant I believe. Let’s get more opinions. @Nicky @PharmerBob this guy needs suggestions on a grow kit that will do him some justice even just for a plant or two to get him started but he says he’s on a budget. Any suggestions?

Im learning, plus im kinda old school. 30 yrs ago had some good results with no equipment or resources. Odd this one, after 2 months, I see no signs of sex??

$400 max? 2 feminized to go in it.

If a male was in a space, was removed, female put in that space soon after an issue?

And ill stop asking questions till I receive my equipment! Sorry😉

The male wouldn’t make a difference. Even if there was pollen in the air. That plant didn’t have any pistils to collect it. I’d say it’s your light cycle or lack of light.

And if the plant did get pollinated it would only cause it to produce seed… nothing else.

Only a FEIT 19w light so…maybe this one go in new setup till I get some seeds from ilgm. Can’t hurt.

What is your light cycle? For flowering we usually use 12/12 or 11/13. 13 being hours of no light at all. 12 hours minimum to keep a photo period plant happy and in flower. A lot of people go 48 hours at beginning of flip to help enforce the process.

The plant in pic, 2 days ago started 12/12. Now I have a 3’ male as well, full of pollen sacs, that I took outside, and have changed no light. All natural that one is. Was afraid to blackout with other plant, being a male, and not knowing what pictured one is. Both just low budget, trial runs with seeds from long ago, not from a seedbank. Should I 12/12 together and not sweat the male female thing?

Heres the what I say is male plant, outside.

Once I get setup, and seeds, going by the book all the way. These were just to revive the passion of growing. Im all in now!

Unless you want to make seeds, kill the male. No matter what. Keep the male away from any potential females. If you want seeds place the pollen yourself or suffer the fate of 1000 seeds.

Trying to find a breathable blackout cloth for the one outside to start 12/12 it. Smaller one goes in a closet by itself indoors. As I said these 2 are quinea pigs and not to awful worried bout what becomes of them. Im looking at spyder farmer and mars hydro stuff for my, what’s to be, strictly a 2 plant grow, with feminized seeds. Thank for the input. Great forum here at ilgm.

Black gold organic is best soil I can get here locally I think.

If still in veg can be hard to tell, especially with Female plants.

You should size your light by area of grow space.

2x2x4 or 5 tall most likely.

I went all out and got the 27w model. I use it to germ veg and flower seeds. Since it was laying around I through it into the mix. 2x 125 w blurples, 55w kind flower bar plus the Feit. Total around 330w covering 2x2

if you are truly low budget, you dont NEED a tent for your grow until you get to Flower. any “undisturbed” space would do in a pinch as long as you can control the light and keep the environment (temp and humidity) reasonable. lighting required through veg is much less than you will need at flower and the smell will not be as strong in the beginning. so, easy to start in a spare bedroom or closet with blackout curtains.
in the early stages you would probably be running 16/8 light schedule, so the blackout curtains are probably more functional to keep your lighting stealthy.
over the beginning veg phase that gives you time to save up for what you will need as the plants get larger.
At a MIN, you WILL need;

  1. A light adequate to get them through flower (size/cost to be determined by the space you want to cover (i.e. how may plants cause if it is a 10x10 room doesnt matter if you only are growing 2 plants)
  2. A fan/filter to keep environment in limits and to deal with the smell.
most of the rest you can pay as you go. those two are kind of “immovable requirements” to grow

Just my opinion, but based on lots of reading here and looking back on all the REALLY poor choices i have made to get to this spot.

Hope this helps. you have lots of really great folks on this thread
