Np at all - I had to go look to make sure they didn’t upgrade their site or something. Things are always changing, I never take it as a given that what I knew yesterday is still true today. :100::v:

Haha. Ain’t that the truth.

Question

Watered 1 Gallon (no nutes) ph 6.2
Runoff was ph of 7 as well as 1271 ppms

Does that all sound a lot better and good readings?

Sounds much better. Good numbers for in/out. Healthy range for sure

Man it feels great to hear that there is nothing to change at this point. Doing something right is always from research and picking y’all’s brains it’s paying off and I’m seeing it everyday with this girl. So thank you again for EVERYTHING:us::call_me_hand:t2:

Day 18 since the ladies poked their heads up. All 3 seem to be growing fairly well, #1 seems to slowly be recovering from the overwatering thankfully. #3 is above and beyond the fastest grower of the 3, I believe she is on her 5th node? but I could be wrong. The mutant is actually starting to pick up the pace a little as well, it seems as though it likes space between its leaves, so I wonder if LST will still be necessary on it. I noticed last night that that #1 was wanting to lean, upon inspection I realized the taproot for #1 had been obstructed when it was sprouting causing it to grow sideways about an inch or so before growing upwards. I used something to brace #1 with a zip tie loosely until it hopefully can anchor itself better. I havent given any of the ladies water since my last update, based on weight I think the mutant and #3 will be ready for water tomorrow, #1 probably still has a couple days. With all of that being said, I guess its question time. First, is FIMing recommended, and if so when should I FIM the ladies? Second, How long do I need to wait before I start LST? I dont think #1 is ready just because of the stability issues with its stem right now. I also ordered the HLG 135W RSPEC at the recommendation of @Graysin so I cant wait for it to get here haha. Anyway, Ill post the usual pics of the girls below, and as always thank you for your time. Any suggestions please let me know!

Outstanding. I can’t wait to see what the HLG will do for ya. Plus hopefully you’ll have room to leave the other light in there for supplement during flower if it feels needed. :sunglasses:

@Graysin Its funny you say that because I had already decided when the HLG got here, I was going to ask you if the infinity light could be used to supplement

If it fits, it stays! That’s my mantra anyway. No reason to remove light if you don’t have to - I’d rather be over-supplied and not need it than under supplied and struggling by to figure out how to supplement later.

Awesome! That was my train of thought on the matter. Any suggestions on whether to FIM or not, and how long till LST can be started?

I’d be FIM’ing or topping right about now, and starting LST in a week or two, depending on how long they take to bounce back. But I’m also unnecessarily hard on my plants, I start them early to keep them from growing too tall - don’t wanna have to remove several nodes’ worth of growth, would rather just do it early and save her all that energy in the long run.

She was topped about 2 weeks ago, and she’s just today 30 days old.

Wow thats quite a difference in size! So do you prefer FIMing or Topping for Autos? Unless Im mistaken, both are done to the newest bit of growth correct?

I prefer to FIM autos, it’s less stress on the plant overall because she just loses a bit of leaf, rather than a whole chunk of her main - at least that’s the running theory. Mostly, it’s a quicker recovery time.

I have a visual guide somewhere in a thread for @VOL4LIFE - he may recall it but I’ll try to find it somewhere.

Well after reading more about it, I felt FIMing might be the safer option so I tried my hand at it. I think I did it right, I remember seeing your post on a thread somewhere haha. Howd I do? @Graysin

Looks pretty good! I usually go a little lower, but I also sometimes end up actually topping ‘em so you’re safer this way

Yeah I was scared I’d accidently top them haha, how long on average does it take for the plants to recover from the stress? I know every plant is different

Usually it takes 5-7 days for the new growth to be noticeable but honestly it tends to be around 2 weeks before you can really see if the FIM was successful or not.

Not too terribly long then, have you ever had them hermie from it before?

No. I feel like hermaphroditism is genetic, stress induced herms aren’t nearly as common as I think people think
