1out of 4 went south

One of our of 4 decided to go southI

M
Had a little trouble starting this topic. Anyway, I have 2GG and 2 Gelato that all started out great. Everything is exactly the same. Same soil, same water, same watering schedule, same environment and the strongest of the 4 plants decided to go south one day. Well about 10 days later she’s still hurting. Can’t figure it out and thought someone may have experienced a similar situation. I’ll try to post pics

When you say things like (same amount of water) and (same watering schedule)… those statements only mean one thing… your overwatering and that is going to lead to ph issues and that will lead to nutrient lockout and then either pests or death…
Fix the overwatering problem and things might start looking better…

You can also fill out a support ticket…

Yep - one thing I’ve learned and you will see repeated throughout this forum is - don’t treat all your plants the same. Analyze each ones needs individually.

The plants are 29 days old. Watered with well water 800ppm 6.5ph in FFOF. No nutes yet. See pics. First pic is everything normal, second pic is current condition and third pic was one day after the first pic was taken. All other plants are looking great. I’ll post them soon

These are the other 3 plants. Everything looking good.

See pics Tommy

I’ve taken great care not to over water. If anything I have under watered these babies. Already learned that lesson with my previous propagation.

It’s could very well be nute burn from the well water. Usually you want the water going in as low ppm as possible so when you do add nutes ot wont be in the 3000s and burn your plants.

Ppm’s are crazy high… like mine…
My ppm’s from my well read over 2500 ppm’s… no way to use this water… you need to either clean it or buy water… that’s what I do… you will never get things dialed in with hydro with those numbers…

It looks a little like heat stress and an excess of nutrients. Ocean Forest is a little hot for some pheno’s and you can get a touch of that. There’s a little taco’ing as well.

You are doing the right thing to stay on the dry side of things; your plants do like light airy dry soil as a general rule.

So; let’s get particulars including what kind of lighting, distance from them, temps, RH, etc. Here’s a Support Ticket

To create a grow support ticket we need some basic information to help diagnose the issue.

COPY/PASTE the below list into your forum post.
Answer these simple questions the best you can.
If you do not know, or do not use something; Just say so = NA

  • Strain; Type, Bag seed, or NA
  • Soil in pots, Hydroponic, or Coco?
  • System type?
  • PH of runoff or solution in reservoir?
  • What is strength of nutrient mix? EC, or TDS
  • Indoor or Outdoor
  • Light system, size?
  • Temps; Day, Night
  • Humidity; Day, Night
  • Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size
  • AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier,
  • Co2; Yes, No

If you can, upload a picture of your plant. It helps the diagnosis, if needed.

Add anything else you feel would help us give you a most informed answer. Feel free to elaborate, but short, to the point questions and facts will help us help you

Yeah; @peachfuzz caught the high TDS water. You might think about cutting that with R/O or distilled if possible. My muni water supply is terrible at 550 PPM and I cut it 50/50 with straight R/O. That brings it down to around 300 PPM.

Humidity is low. If you can bump it up that will help the plants. 60% is about right for their size.

Temp at night is a bit low too. I kinda like to be at 74 to 84 for my high low range. So; not too hot for your plants. Could that leaf have been wetted down at a watering? If it got dragged down to the soil it could have burned the tips.

I use rain water. Ppm is in 20s. Bought 10 buckets from home depot. If I run out I use pond water which is around 180 ppm. You can use creek water. Check to make sure ppm is low. No need to buy water. That would get expensive very quickly.

Newly joined; he can’t respond until tomorrow FYI.

Thanks for your response. I’m not sure how I am going to address the high Ppm on my water yet. Temps and humidity are off a little. I kinda knew that. Did you have a chance to see the picks I scanned in? What I was puzzled about was that the other 3 plants have no indication of what is going on with the 4th plant and everything is the same. Actually they look great for about 4 weeks old.

That part is easy. There is a product call RO Buddie that is highly recommended by a lot of people on here. It uses Reverse Osmosis to purify your water. I bought one (the 3 filter, 100 gallon version) and am very pleased with it. It was simple to hook up, inexpensive (in my opinion) and creates about 1 gallon of water every 35 minutes. Here is a link to it:

Thanks. I used to have a set up when I had a saltwater tank. I didn’t want to have to do that but it may be the best alternative. Still puzzling is that one girl that started out as the front runner and just decided to get sick and my other 3 are growing crazy good. I’m not too worried about it though.
