Here is my co2 generator…lol
It burns the propane extremely efficiently and as an added bonus , it adds lumens during use…
I have them hung from a 3’ chain for fire protection and if you look into this setup , I would only recommend the Coleman brand…
I’ve never had an issue with the Coleman brand but I have had fires with the cheaper ones… :+1::wink:
For some reason I still can’t download pics… :angry::rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Have to figure this out…

Not the pic I wanted, but wanted you to see what I was talking about… :+1::wink:

Is that a old lantern street light @peachfuzz lol looks like glass… hmmm I just had an idea … I sandwich of 2 quality pyrex pots as the combustion chamber incased in a metal box with a computer fan or 2 …uh ohhhh… I feel fano mans gonna be playing fire soon… as soon as I’m in a permanent spot… :bomb::boom::fire::fire:

Oh I can see it says colman now…it is a lantern… that’s genius

I considered a darn lantern… i have never really used one before…
i didint know how much heat /co2 would come off of one…i like this idea

Does it self light?

You could do that pretty easy just re purpose a grill ignitor… even some lighters have those spring loaded lighter ignitors… if it lights the grill up with propane I’m sure you can light a lantern up with your enginuity at play…and propane what do ya know should be a sinch

The automatic part would be the trick tho…

Not automatic…
I have to light it every time I use it , but it works like a charm and you can control how much heat and co2 by turning it up or down… :+1::wink:
We will have to figure out a way to automate it… :grin:

Im already on it… aaand done…

Same exact thing i did just, with a lantern instead of the burner i made and the pilot light by the bag (im guessing) i never really used a gas lamp as an adult how much co2 does it make? do you have a meter?

I could hang it in the fridge

Has to be automatic or i will forget… My CO2 controller has been broke for a week and i have not once turned it on or off at the right time.

I don’t have a meter , but only after an hour I can definitely see the plant’s respond to it…
I’ll have to get one… :+1::wink:

I am not a physicist by any means and not even a current student, but nonetheless I am looking for an answer. Here is what I have gotten so far from university websites and other various resources on the internet (Wikipedia’s Heat Capacity page lacks citations for this):

Water’s specific heat capacity is 4200 Jkg-1K-1 and Air’s is 993 Jkg-1K-1 therefore water has 4.23 times more specific heat capacity.

Water has a density of 1000/m3 and air has a density of 1.275/m3 therefore water would be 784.31 x denser than air.

So would that mean that the amount of times more volumetric heat capacity water has compared to air would be 784.31 x 4.23 = 3317.63? Are my numbers even right?

Thanks in advance.

Your numbers are (approximately) right (there is no use to be so precise, about air density for example, since it varies with temperature etc.), and your thought is right, too.

The difference is very big, as you see. You have to consider though, that this is valid for dry air. In practice, if you have some air streaming upwards in atmosphere, it might reach a point where it gets so cold, that the contained water vapor begins to condense. This sets free some energy which slows down the cooling, so in this case the heat capacity of air is bigger, by some factor 2-3.

3317 (GAL / CUFT / lbs Pick Any measurement) = 1 of the same in water (Approximately)

All Right! The last of the AN nutes have arrived!

Its the first time for me to put together all 15 different nutes to make the grand master line.

Lets see if i can mix it all without taking a break
