A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks.
“The White Widow has some yellow on some of the leaves as they initiate growth. It turns to a pale green once the leaves fully expanded. I am using Fox Farms soil and nutrients. Can you tell me if I have a nutrient deficiency or abundance? I have attached a picture of the top of the plant looking from above. The plant is about 4-5 weeks old.”
Can you fill out a support ticket? You will find it at the top of the page. Copy and paste it in and fill in what you can and write NA for anything you don’t know. Excellent picture.
Here is the support ticket. If you copy and paste this into your post.

You’re pH is NA? Does that mean you are not checking the pH of your water? That’s the #1 problem we see here almost daily. I have some links for Amazon to give you ideas what you need to get. A ph Meter, 7 calibration fluid and pH up and down. If you have a local grow store hydro store they will have all of that. To start don’t spend more than $20 for a meter.
The FF Nutrients are notorious for dropping the pH of your water. In my case it drops about 1.0 from 6.5 to 5.5 and that is way too low for growing in soil.
Collect some runoff water and test that for soil ph. These look like they are growing faster than their ability to push nutes to the new growth. As the leaves get bigger they settle in and look better but I think Magic said it right.
Sulfur rarely comes up but does and can happen, flower nutrients contain high enough doses of sulfur they will help correct that depending on brand of course but most if not all should have sulfur that will help turn that around within 24-48 hours
Balanced ph should also help with nutrient uptake. It would be nice to see what the runoff ph is.
@Moxieman, generally it would be ideal for your girls to see ph 6.5 water and to water only when the soil has dried out. You want your plant to push aggressive root growth and that will help. Next time you water, place your pot in a container and capture the runoff and measure the ph. This will help determine if salts have built up in the soil that might require adjustment.
