Grow it!!! Can make amazing meds for the nausea from chemo. Very relaxing if choose a basic water only style. Something to occupy your mind besides worry. Never let the grow stress you. Just plants. Always can plant more. Good luck with your decision and prayers for your family.
@legalgrow .Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a parent.Lost Mom in 1988 and Dad in 2020.(not from COVID).Mom was 62 and Dad was 90.Both loss’s ripped my heart heavy. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about them.
I swear when I’m doing something that my Dad showed me,he’s right there looking over my shoulder. Its a crazy feeling but it makes me smile every time.
If I may what type of cancer are you fighting.Mine was tonsil.
My parent has “Primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the central nervous system”. aka: Brain Cancer via Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. We been fighting it with chemo & clinical trials since 2018. Few months ago it came back and we had to be admitted to the cancer hospital for a week of high-dose chemo, called HDMTX. It’s a horrible experience for all involved. The worst part of this type of cancer is that it always comes back.
I’m sorry for your losses. Terrible to lose a parent, especially one who you had/have a great relationship with. Lot of my friends or people i know usually don’t give a shit about their parents. I wish i was in that crowd, but I’m the opposite, I’d die for my parent instantly if i had to. People tell me they don’t make Men like him anymore and I agree 1000%, I could only wish to be the man he is.
Funny, I just showed him buds/weed like 30mins ago (Skywalker OG & Cheese & Chong). He said that’s a drug. I said yeah I know your old school, but its legal now. He’s in his mid 80’s. He’s not a fan, he’s old school, but he don’t mind it. He knows I smoke it for my arthritis and to destress .
I’ve been part of a cancer support group since my 7 weeks of treatment.Without a doubt it was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced.I thought after going thru Hep C therapy I could handle it no problem ( therapy for hep c was 18 months of feeling like I had the worst case of the flu).
Life doesn’t seem fair at times. But IMO ,no matter how much a person stays on the healthy life plan after 50 yrs old something bites them in the butt. Then it comes down to winners and losers.Attitude is everything. It’s easy to think the worst in these situations but one must never give up.
I grew up Sicilian,we grew our food ,hunted our meat.Only processed food I ate was macaroni and cheese out of a box.It was probably the wine .
Again IMO the food commercially grown with all the sprays for this for that is killing people or making them sick. It all comes down to the dollar.Big corporations don’t give a rats ass about us.
Life is unpredictable… “When it’s your time, its your time.” and that’s it.
Forza Palermo! Forza Sicilia!
Small world. My blood is from Palermo.
You lived out there? I know a few people who are involved in the food markets in Palermo. Ballarò, Vucciria, and Capo to be exact. Best seafood in the world!
About 15 miles from Palermo in the mountains,Borgetto.I’ve been there but I’m first generation American.Used to speak the language but when my grandparents passed my father and I just spoke English. Now I get just bits.
I’m 3rd Gen. So I only know a little, and all the curse words. Great Grandparents came to Ellis Island in 1898 with $20, lived on Mulberry Street, NYC. Married in 1902 NYC, had my grandfather 1909, etc, etc.
I was born in USA, but I am an Italian citizen via Jure Sanguinis (or Jus Sanguinis). I was going complete my dual citizenship paperwork, then backed off when they told me to remove my fathers MIDDLE name from his birth certificate, because Italy doesn’t legally recognize middle names. I can still pursue it, though now’s not the time.
Maybe when I get my tent up ill grow some Artichokes with the weed.
Sorry man, don’t know exactly what youre going through, but took care of my dad cancer (kidney)and dementia 3 years ago, while my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer, and she now had dementia.
As stated by others, you MUST find something for yourself. @Merlin said it… just a few minutes a day can help recharge. I say grow, not just for the weed, but also for the escape.
Strength to you…
Thank you!!
