We went off tap/well water. Actually learned theres a difference from our tap and outdoor hose. Anyway, check you pH out of the tap. If it’s high and you don’t have pH up/down, you can lower it around 1.0 per tsp of vinegar. I cant recall how to raise it but I want to say lemon juice. You really want to get you pH dialed in. Almost all issues I’ve had were pH related.
Baking soda to raise it.
The pH of your jug water is as good as neutral because ppm is so low. Its good for testing or flushing as it is.
Ok I have ph up and down. Can I use that instead or do you say add other things to get ph up? Definitely agree with you on ph. A beginner here so I definitely want to not have this issue. Just having an issue with keeping the soil ph just right. I’m making sure the water is above 6 and is between 6-6.8. When I test runoff. It’s between 5.2-5.8 between the 3 plants
They actually look pretty good. The drooping is possible overwatering/underwatering also might be too humid. Thats the issue I’m having currently. A dehumidifier has seemed to rectify it.
PH up/down is sufficient.
Okay so it may be because of my humidity. I have a humidifier on and the rh is like 50-60 so I could bring the rh down and just eliminate humidifier all together
That’s not sounding too radical on RH. I’m in a very humid climate. I stay around 60. Do you have fans and good air flow?
I have 1 oscillating fan on low and a 4in carbon filter and it seems as though it has some good airflow.
They look healthy with a little droop. Is this right after lights on or feeding?
Yes this yesterday I watered and fed and this is what they look like after 6 hours off light and have been on for roughly 10 hours
They will go up and down with sleeping and feeding. Seem to have a good grip on what you’re doing. I think you’re fine. I’m kinda fighting the same thing but I think I’ve got some burn of some sort.
Thanks man. I’ve only been going based on the information I’ve gathered in the last little over a month. 1 thing I’m certain of. Ph is off. And the other thing I’m not certain about is the nutes as I said above. I just added nutes yesterday and I’m curious how it’s going to affect them with it being the first time getting nutes. Definitely don’t know too much about burns but if you could show a picture I might be able to find some stuff on the internet
Sunday I watered my plants and fed them. How are they looking after getting fed bites for the first time?
Hey man these are what they are looking like. I think something is definitely off. Color between them is off and those spots. Any ideas?
Hi, she’s fasting, she doesnt like the nute imbalance and nutes come with water so she’s shutting down. Droppy leaves close stomata (under leaf pores) so she’s barely breathing.
It appears the imbalance led to zinc deficiency and possibly toxicity of flowering nutes. Check out details of K toxicity. The part about lower pH. And Z deficiency how it affects new growth. Grow Big has zinc, so does tap water, but you use neither.
But all thats useless info 'cuz same old proceedure, flush, test, and feed.
Run water through it til pH reaches mid-6s then feed it (according to chart, or 800 - 1000ppm) with a complete nute product
