Good luck on the roses :crossed_fingers: my old neighbor showed me to use a water bottle. Slicing it down one side and wrapping it around a live branch still connected to the rose bush. Fill it with soil holding it closed with zip ties. As soon as you see roots in the bottle you cut the branch off at the bottom of the bottle open it and put it in the dirt. It works great

Air layering is the shit with roses or hard to clone things.

Edit: used to use bottles, but now I have the snap on kind.

I always found it easier in the spring when everything is coming back to life n is full of newer growth
