Question. Is it better to chop at the end of the dark cycle? The theory I read is the plant will the least amount of nutrients flowing and the cells in the flower are the most relaxed.
I was wondering the same… also seeing people say 2 days of dark before harvest?
I don’t think it makes any difference, but most people believe it is better to harvest at beginning of light cycle.
Doesn’t matter in my opinion, if the buds are ripe and ready to pick, what time of the day wouldn’t be a concern
The reason I asked, is I read in a published book the theory the plant cells are not as actively working at the end of the dark cycle and will positively contribute to the quality of the buds in the end. Less nutrient upflow. Dunno, I was just curious. Thanks for responding.
Last minute changes do not affect our plants as to terps or potency. She has done all she can and will do when chopping at the right time.
48 hours of dark rob her of the light she needs to continue ripening flower, flushes same. Some do and some don’t. I follow Bugbee’s advice on things that are myths or at least have no science to back it up.
I chop when her day would normally begin so at lights on, it is on!!
