When to go hydro?

Neem oil in the above post @Noctis420

@Noctis420

It’s hard to say without pics but do you know what kind of bugs you have? Also how close is your light. Is it cooler inside or hotter? I have never used neem oil before this is why I use :beetle: @JBC13

Oh I see the pics now

@Noctis420 it’s cooler inside, I placed 2 in direct sun and the leaves are curled, sigh

@Noctis420 what caused the leaves to curl ? Will they snap back

This is the part I’m still learning but don’t fret she isn’t dead yet. These are hardy plants they can take a lot of abuse but I’m thinking either the bugs are doing it, it’s been over watered or heat stress. I’m not really sure though let’s see if someone can help. What do you think guys? @Donaldj @Wishingilivedina420state @Countryboyjvd1971 @bob31

I’m sure it will go back if you can figure out what is wrong.

Be careful bringing in infected plants. If it were spider mites you could contaminate you’re future grows. Sorry wish I could help you on this.

@Noctis420 I don’t want to lose them. The neem oil didn’t hurt the first plant. I brought her in and under the light. The other 2 I placed indirect sunlight. Maybe too hot ? I watered all 3 this morning, no runoff.

Heat could make it twist and do funky stuff. Any idea what the pH of your water is?

@Noctis420 I sprayed all 3 with neem. Watered. Brought one inside, left 2 in the sun. After checking them and seeing leaves curled, I brought all of them in and placed under the lights. I’ll keep my eye on them. I hope they’ll be fine ! I don’t want to lose them, sigh

@Noctis420 ph is 5.8

I can just grow at 18/6 lights on without really worrying about the autoflower plants " They got way bigger than expected , was thinking 8 would fit in this 4x4 tent" I got the 10x10 White Widow auto sale from ILGM so i’ll be putting them into the rotation for many grow to come. There a beautiful GG#4 and Bluedream plant in the top corners trying to get light.

OK so for soil that’s way to low you want it higher. You want it between 6.0 and 6.8 for soil. @JBC13 so that’s one problem that you have to fix.

Hey @boardsbird this was my first auto run pineapple express.

I’ve watered today so I’ll need to wait on using the ph for the next watering. It looks like one plant is still curled and the second is trying to straighten out.
It’s my fault. I can only hope that they’ll bounce back. I’ve just checked my gallons of nutrients with water and I’m okay with that.
Sorry for the bother. Tomorrow I’ll get my 2 Northern lights ready to go into rock wool. Then hydro.
I’ll keep you posted if that’s alright.
Thanks again!

Sure just tag me in and I’ll help you the best I can. Yeah just get that ph up for next watering. Don’t worry too much it will be ok. Also I believe rock wool needs to be soaked in ph corrected water for 24hrs. I would do some research on that. In the mean time try and figure out what kind of bugs you got and snap a pic of em, until then. Happy growing :v: @JBC13

@Noctis420 I appreciate all of your help. I’m soaking the rock wool in the correct ph.
I’m upset with myself. I certainly want these 2 girls to do well. The only difference between the 3 plants is I put 2 in direct sunlight. All three are under the lifts. Hopefully they’ll make it and I’ll learn my lesson.
I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks again. :+1:

Sweet plant, im an outdoor grower, SD new to autoflowering plants “They were just to give me something to do when I was training the GG#4 and Bluedream” now they are on holed till I get the light hog autoflowers done.
Love your setup, very clean. I like not using dirt. I have a filtered outside intake that keeps the CO2 up and the pests out
