When is the best time to do the splitting of the stem
About 1 to 2 weeks before you harvest
I do it when i see half of my trichomes get milky colored
You can split the stem from 4 to 7 days before harvest, no more or the plant will die.
I went almost 2 weeks and the buds definitely got a lot more dense…
I’m 100% new to this can someone explain what is splitting?? I was under the impression that was the same thing as Manifolding or am I mistaken??
No, manifolding is a training technique where the stem is trained to split into two main stems. Splitting the stem for harvest is exactly what it sounds like. You take a sharp knife and cut the bottom of the main stem in half to stress the plant into producing more resin. Personally, I prefer to drill the stem which is easier and safer.
