Whats the longest for autos

What is the longest time anyone has had there autos before flowering started. These 2 are going on 8 weeks from germination. They just seem to be bushing out. Looks close to me. Any options? They are both Dutch Passion. One is Glueberry OG auto and 1 is Night Queen auto.

Flowering times are generally 8 to 10 weeks. Autos veg for some period between 4 and 7 weeks, though some can take a little longer. so the answer is somewhere between 12 and 17 weeks. Most end up of the middle of the range.

Both of the pictures looks like it has been flowering for about 1.5 to 2 weeks.

I don’t now why I stress sometimes with autos. I know they can be persnickity. I also started 2 Ethos seeds at the same time and the have thumb size flowers already.

Looks sweet. I guess I need to practice what I preach when it comes to Autos. I always tell people they are going to do what they want to do.

She is flowering now.

@beardless that’s interesting. I’ve got some jack herer Autos that are also sooo slow. I was wondering what’s going on with them but after the 6th plants did the same thing I’m realizing it has to be the genetics. I even through one plant out because it was in preflower for like a month even though it looked healthy

Hi Growmie, I have encountered very long Veg now my current run. Should I concern with this girl on days 45 and not flowering yet :grimacing:

I also read some info they can veg 8 weeks, she show sign of pistil at day34-36. flip is may hard when their other younger plants in tents. TIA.

Not at all. Up to 7 weeks is in the normal range. We have seen a few autos take up to 12 weeks before flowering.

Anyone else see the irony of worrying over long veg times for autos?
I’ve seen the pics (of low producing autos), I’ve hoped each time for long veg times with autos!

Thank for answering Growmie, she does staggering grow at top shoot but still no fluffy pistil grow there.

@Bubbala I was concern because i look other grow this strain and they often flowering at week4 :grimacing: and I dont want to flip because there are more plant in my tent. and normally i grow a little yield too haha so im more happy if they big yield.

Every plant is different and strain isn’t really relevant. Cannabis is cannabis and the only real differences between the strains are the terpine profiles and cannabinoid content. Other minor differences such as environmental tolerance and coloration in late flower may occur. The differing strains are certainly not different species of plants. Think of different plants as different children. They are all going to have their own unique characteristics. It’s actually even more different, as individual plants could be cousins at best.

I know this question is for Bubbala, but it confused me. I thought we were talking about autos here. Autos flower on their own and don’t need to be flipped.

sorry for missleading, I was asking some people other platform and they said she might turn photoperiod or something similar to that and suggest flip to 12/12. thanks again

I do believe she will turn flowering on her own but want to make sure it ‘can happen’ thing. and maybe im overreact, finger crossed

Okay. The auto characteristic is genetic and is not subject to change, though we do see growers sometimes recommend taking an auto to a 12/12 schedule to encourage them to flower, That said, I have never seen actual follow-up evidence from the growers who have done so that it is effective. imho it may or may not be effective. Some plants are just stubborn.

Have patience. It will.

Agreed. Some call them stubborn, I say they are happy. Some of my biggest yields come from those stubborn autos. I had a Grape Ape and a Gelato. Different runs, but both didn’t so signs of flower til week 7 or 8. Both grew over 4 foot tall and both yields were over 4 oz dried. It was worth the wait. Only thing I had to do was bend the tops down to make sure my other plants continued to get enough light
