Oh wow mine look out of control compared to yours. Nice knowing how liberal i can be with the trimming now.
She looks full of goodies! How much does one of your outdoor plants average, yield wise, if thats ok to ask? Have you ever done indoor for comparison? I imagine outdoor is much higher
I see that its in a raised planter/pot. Then it looks like something else on top of that. Is that to stop critters?
I expect 8-10 ozs from her. This is my first year growing bushes outdoors. I have about 10 plants all under 3ā.
Sheās in a 3 gallon fabric pot inside a 10 gallon fabric pot. Thatās new this year. Like a plug and play deal.
Wow did you have to super crop to get them under 3ā? Its been a fight getting mine just to stay at 3ā. Im hoping they are done fighting for height, because they didnt grow much last night for the first time in a bit.
Looks fun growing them outdoors. Hopefully in a few years ill be able to do that.
Actually I had a little problem with reveg this year. I chopped out the tops of some of those plants and they grew a little more. Never really stretched. A few of my plants (like the one pictured) are from an experiment. I grew a clone for about a month, flowered it and then harvested the top of the plant.
I then reveged it and this is what I got. I like the shorter plants. I can do a thorough inspection of all the bud sites
Hey guys really enjoy this thread, Iām new and really didnāt do any pruning or cutting off of bottom branches. I was so excited I forgot, So would I stress out my girls if I just went and starting chopping stuff off, or should I do a little bit at a time
Here are my girls little bit out of control, 7 weeks autos thanks
@oldmarine ran out of likes on the conversation there. Give me about 18 min. ![]()
LST, tie the sides down to expose the ones underneath.
Whatās up King, if you decide to defoliate any leaves at this stage on an auto could be risky. As in taking too many. I pluck them here and there throughout the grow but do it selectively. I would start with just a few around the bottom since those fan leaves will fade soon anyway. Give her a few days and watch how she responds.
Yea i think id prefer that as well. Will have to do some experimenting of my own.
With all the issues ive seen people having with autos on here i had decided i was staying far away from them, but those look great.
Itās hard to tell but I do have wire pipe cleaners trying to do that, very short and bushy plant , trying to get all the little buds sites at or near bottom gone and cut off, also have a bigger tent coming tomorrow, u can tell little tight on space thanks again
Live and learn right, I bet u guys have forgotten more then I even know lol, thanks again I guess just another newbie mistake ![]()
The images of my clones are currently undergoing LST.
Because of their height I pull them down this forces lower branches to start becoming mains that I can also train to bush out. As it develops I will remove the ones close to the soil.
If you get curious about what Iāll do with their training I post their updates here.
No mistakes brother, youāre in the right place. Youāre doing way better than I did my 1st run. And your ladies are starting to fill out ![]()
So much good advice in this thread! Iām team lollipop as well as team what ever moves me in the moment. If you look at a ant and immediately think, maybe I should too that oneā¦listen to that voice. It may not always be right, but you will surprise yourself. Only two ārulesā in defoliation as far as I can tell. #1 Never more then 30% of the total foliage should be removed in any one pruning session. #2 always feed directly after pruning. Its good to provide readily available nutrition so llant can recover from the event. Haircuts are stressful.
What Iāve done with mine is when I know I am going to prune or defoliate I raise their PPMās just before. I will run theirs higher for this especially if I knew I was going to take a lot off them.
Awesome that why Iām so glad I found this place. All great tips, seems like common sense, only 30%, feed afterwards, makes totally sense. Should have thought of that , Wow I still have a lot of learning to do, thanks again @PiratedSoldier definitely going to checking out ur journal thanks again
I for the most part set a line / height and remove all of the secondary growth tips below that line. I try to envision where the colas will form as a guide. I just did that to this plant today.

It isnāt time to strip the bottom leaves yet. The still are providing fuel and is a good gauge of the plants health.
This is another one
