What’s a vdp chart?? …
What is dli?…
Calculate this and calculate that…
Does it ever end??
No offense to those that use that stuff. Guess I’m a little old school and tend to try and listen to the plants.
Keep’em growin! ![]()

That’s funny, cuz I have all these gizmos, and had been in the range all along following old school tech and shit my gramps and mom taught me about veggie gardening.
I have them and yet do not chase numbers…I look at em and think… “Yep close enough, let em ride.” Is nice to not think on those special overindulged mornings and see you’re in range.
Shit, I still call my moms husband (old farmer) for advice on summer plant diseases, guys an encyclopedia of an AG extension.
Yep, I just try and keep it simple and do my best to maintain a good environment. It’s a good thing to have an old timer with that knowledge. My grandparents were farmers and the almanac was their Bible ![]()
Like I said I’m just trying to grow the best that I can. The guys who grow the gas seem to follow vpd or atleast stay in a range.
Anyone ever have problems with their ac infinity t6 controller reading the wrong temps and humidity ?
@matty777 you can calibrate the ac infinity controller to the correct humidity or base it off your inkbird thru the settings that way you can tell of the calibrationis correct. Only way to be for sure is to bag your probe in with a humidity pack (most prefer 62 rh packs) and see if it reads within the typical tolerance +/- 3 rh if so your good to go. Also unless these are side by side you could be getting different readings if per say one was in the canopy and one was above you would probably seeing a higher humidity reading in your canopy as opposed to above it. So check placement and see if they are side by side or at the same elevation in the tent. If not then you can test the calibration of them with a humidity pack and be 100% sure on your calibration
Awesome I’ll try that snow and let you know how it goes. Thanks @BigCat420
Today was day 16 since I flipped and I did some defoliation of some of the bigger fan leaves all over the tent. Do you think I over did it ? I have a tendency to do that and I’m still learning the balance to everything. What do you think @BigCat420 or any of you guys ?
If not can I take off more of those fan leaves ?
Out of likes but they look great. ![]()
Most will defol at 21 and 42 days. Better to do a little at a time then all at once.

Your plants look great @matty777. Id say you were spot on with your trimming. Not too much at all. I know whatcha mean tho i have a tendency to take more than less and then step back like whoops well im done for the day lol
Same here, glad to hear that wasn’t the case today.
I still wanna take off more of those fan leaves
Thanks for Sharing this! I wish I could answer some of your questions but I’m just learning as well.
So i worried about everything. First time grow. Vpd especially. But got little pwm trying to keep hunidity at 55 not over or under. So my vpd ended up being about 1.7. 2.0 sometimes with a hunidity of 40 and temp of 78 with lights one. Than it would go to 1.4. With lights off.
Ended up with 20 percent thc weed. Amazing aroma chemdawg thats amazing. I amazed myself im sure vpd perfect could made it 25 percent. But seems all the other factors made up for a vpd that was off. And pwm was easier to keep at bay.
My probe likes to shut off on two diff tents 5 mins after i unolug n replug it in
