What do you think about my numbers I have right now? 75 temp 50 rh @BigCat420
What are your thoughts? @Cap_Ron
I think you can get away with that but id shoot for closer to 78-80 degrees and 60-65 rh. I was seeing slow growth with temps in the low 70s and humidity in the 50s and once i bumped my temp and humidity up i started seeing faster growth and noticeable growth. I would like to believe the temp was the main contributor there but im sure having the veg tent at a more reasonable VPD has been attributing to my growth spurts as well
Honestly no. I look at it moreso as a guideline lol
Ahh yes weve all thought the same at one point. I was being down on myself when i had to throw out 7 months of progress and thought oh hell yeah ill hit up the dispo for stuff. Yeah i was under rhe impression this was like the bees knees then i get to trying some and im like holy shit its dry af. Did some research and a majority of the suppliers for dispos will freeze dry their green and it would crumble in my hands into dust. Even tho ive had a few grows hermie on me i much prefer my own stuff over the dispo because it just tastes and smells better. Alot of the dispo stuff was super harsh on my throat too just not worth the money IMO as some of their stuff was 350 an oz where i used to get it from a buddy who would homegrow his own and sell for 200 a oz so i went back to the grind and started giving my all to produce quality green like the dispo. Honestly tho if you ask a majoirty of the members here who go to dispos they will probably all say the same thing. They got the looks down but it doesnt pay to rush your end product in my eyes
I’m in flower right now, 60-65% rh isn’t too high? I’ll try out what you suggest but just want to make sure you know I’m in flower and not veg. Thanks for the help as always brotha
I completely understand what you’re saying, I was just using the dispensary as an example. I just love really good top shelf weed. I think it’s such a beautiful plant. I love the pink and purple colors covered in frost. So I just meant I wanna grow that kind of stuff. I’ve been getting really good weed now for a while so I just want to be able to grow the stuff that I’m use to smoking. My last harvest was good and I’ve been smoking it , taste great and does the job but it’s definitely not to the quality that I would buy oz of prior to growing.
If I could grow stuff like … man oh man I’d be a happy camper.
Veg was 70-78 degrees and 60-65 rh. Flower is 70-75 degrees and 50-55 rh. Yeah 55+ rh is pushing it in flower but as long as you have good canopy airflow your golden. I run like 6 fans (2 actual good fans ac infinity others are just trash desk fans) and my t6 at speed 4. 2 of those fans are always in the canopy and the rest blowing around the planters at floor level or on the floor blowing up into the canopy
I know I’ll be able to eventually but that’s why I’m trying to dial everything in.
What would you say are the most important/ crucial things to focus on throughout the lifecycle of the plants?
Thats what we like to hear around these parts! I totally get what your saying id love to grow some plants with crazy colors. Best ive gotten is almost black leaves on my green crack by dropping the night temps in the tent to low 60s. Im in a constant battle now with my light timers causing my grows to hermie. Next grow im gonna do no light timers and just run it all thru my controller. It gets frustrating messing up over and over again but take it as a learning curve and just realize that makes room for improvement next grow
That varies a lot based on your environment your supplying for the plants. For me those things are keeping temp and humidity in range, nutrient water ppms ideally below 1200 for input and ive been watering at 5.5 ph to keep my runoff closer to 5.8-6.0 ph. You should really water to runoff at least 10% and up to 20% to avoid salt buildup in your medium. Plants need a wet dry cycle. Yes its almost impossible to overwater in coco but that doesnt mean the plants want a wet medium nonstop. I water 1 time a day in flower right now and i know some have other routines but i dont mix in any perilite to retain moisture and when i feel my veg tent pots they seem heavy still so ive been watering the veg tent every 2 days but eventually it will be daily as they get bigger and the pots seem to get lighter day by day. Another thing is keep your ppm and ph pens calibrated at least 1 time a month. My buddy harps and says 1x a week but that never happens with me. Lastly if your in coco silica is basically a must have to strengthen your stems to support big heavy nugs and i was watching a Bruce bugbee a member posted the other day and said using silica every watering can help prevent powdery mildew. Other than that i dont really use stakes in flower but i do in veg. I took some old electrical wire and made some tall stakes and short stakes for LST. What worked for me when i had to crawl to the back of my tent was just buying a funnel and attaching a hose to it so i can use it to reach the back plants without damaging any of them and it made it alot easier to water without making a mess
This wouldnt be a bad idea. I just got a funnel from walmart and some 3/8 in OD tubing

Beautiful. I have a green crack plant in my veg tent for this next run. 2 weeks old from seed.
Yeah I feed silica every watering. It’s in my reservoir with jack a and b, genera hydro flora blend , and general hydro kook bloom,
I use the liquid for the first 6 weeks ( kook bloom) and switch to the powder look bloom/ ripening for the last 2-3 weeks before harvesting
Green crack made some great edibles not just for lazy days and relaxing but it helped my chronic tendinitis pain and helped my fiances PTSD. Just finished up a SOG with 17 plants all green crack clones my last harvest. It was fun but overwhelming having that many plants growing at a time
