What light setup would be best for me

I did seen a 600 light like you suggested from Vivosun. Is that more the way to go?

Depends on your budget, the best lights are certainly the latest LED tech from companies such as HLG, Gavita, ChillLED, and others but they are quite expensive. I could spend $700 - $1200 on setting up a small tent with those type of lights. Or you can spend $200-$300 on a 600 watt HPS setup.

Latest LED tech > HPS > cheap LED lights

Hard to beat a 600 watt HPS in the bang for the buck. But need to move lots of air to keep it cool.

I got the Vivosun fan with 6inch duct already. But I noticed the one posted was out of stock. I currently have germinated seeds in the pot awaiting them to pop thru. And I currently have a Chinese 1000 watt led cheap light, that probably no where near that. So I just need something useable fast.

Your LED is probably fine for the first couple/few weeks of plant life.

Plenty of similar air-cooled kits with ballasts

You could get something like this

Or this

That was exactly the one I was looking at. I was just worried I ordered my seeds thru ilgm, unfortunately with the current state of things they shorted me. I got free seeds on my next order but really need to get these right. Can’t afford to buy more for a few month’s so gotta make this work.

A good exhaust fan is key to running these types of lights and not having heat problems, a 400 CFM fan at least or in the neighborhood, and a place to vent the hot air - away from the tent, to the outside or another room. I vent into the attic with one tent and out a window with the other.

I have this one, sorry can’t find any paperwork.

@SKORPION, that one is rated at 390 CFM, close enough, that will work.

Awesome new light ordered be here in 8 days.

Are these cooltubes any good for cooling of HIDs??? Or should I go for that box 1 with the glass bottom

Yes, cool tubes are great for cooling a HID, it’s what I use, but there are better reflector designs that are also air-cooled and they cool just as well but with a better designed reflector to get a more focused footprint. And some with the flat glass panel, allow for the glass to be lowered on hinges to clean up that area, as dust can accumulate in there and should be cleaned periodically to not block light. A huge pain to clean a cool tube with a carbon filter attached, so I only do that after each harvest (8-10 weeks) in my flowering tent, but the carbon filter keeps it pretty clean, so maybe not such a pain.

I ordered the second light set up. Is this a good setup for a 48 x 48 tent?

Yes, great for a 4x4.

Do you have a suggestion as to what to run for a exhaust fan with this light?

I highly recommend the AC Infinity fans, like this one:
