Question from a fellow grower:
Sorry Id this is a bother, but my plant is showing some signs of
deficiencies and I was wondering if you could give me a answer. They’re
mid coulees splotches and the leaves are clawing. Here’s a pic
We need a whole bunch more info to really have an idea of what might be going on.
Try filling out a support ticket and maybe we can determine what the problem might be.
Answer these simple questions the best you can.

What is the strain and type(unknown bag seed, strain name, regular seeds, feminized seeds, auto-flower, etc)?
Indoor or Outdoor? If outdoor, planted in ground or in a container?
Size of space (max height and area, length/width)?
Soil or Hydro? Type of Medium used? System type?
pH? Of the soil or medium (root zone/reservoir/run-off) and of the water and/or nutrient mix that is fed to the plant?
Type and strength of nutrients used? NPK? EC/TDS/PPM levels? Of what you feed it as well as what is in the water by itself and in the soil/medium (run-off), or reservoir.
Temperature? Day vs. night temp or highest and lowest temps? Root zone temps?
Humidity %? Day vs. night
Light system/watts/lumens/FLUX/PAR?
Ventilation system? Size? CFM? CO2? AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier?
Number “weeks/days” from into Season, Vegetative Growth or Bloom/flowering?

I have it in a neo angle white cabinet for a good reflective surface, got fans in the walls drawing in air and circulating it. I used promix soil with adding perflight which I think was a bad decision considering I don’t know how to correct the npk while in seedling. I have 2 t5 sun blaster 2’long bulbs by 5/8. Hunidity I replace a wide trey every morning with warm water. I think my soild npk is 30-10-10 which is to much nitrogen, too little potassium and phosphorus. The plants stay approximately 5 inches away from the light
It’s in soild, think the seeds were pk but were random from a while ago, as you can tell I’m not very experienced and I have been using filtered water and phing it to around 6.2 thanks for any help!
Soil needs a pH closer to 6.5 and 30-10-10 is a bit much for a small potted plant, most likely.
Promix should be fine for seedlings, normally it shouldn’t have too strong of nutrients at all, just the right amount for seedlings of cuttings. And did you mean perlite? Perlite shouldn’t have any NPK in it at all, and it is mostly inert, it shouldn’t really do much to pH, it does have a slight alkali pH stabilizing affect in soil.
The picture isn’t very clear or detailed, it is so small. But more than likely, the pH in the soil may be contributing to the look of the leaves. The pH in the soil is probably off. And again you are pH-ing your mix too low, I’d pH it a 6.5 and try a more balanced and appropriate NPK, something more like a 8-6-7 for veg, and then a 2-7-7 for flowering.

Thanks a lot, well for the first while its been between 6.2-6.7 some dude told me lower for soil so thanks for the correction, the leaves are turning yellow but not like nitrogen deficiencies it’s not around the whole leaf, just here and there like splotches. The perlite doesn’t have any nutrients I just added it to help the soild but that’s the npk of the soild mixture.
Again, the actual pH in the root zone would be informative.
I suspect, if you bring the pH up of your feeding/watering, new growth will not have this look. Twisting and clawing is often a symptom of a pH issue.
Older lower leaves will fade and yellow as the plant consumes them for extra nutrients, or if the are so far at the bottom and not getting enough light. Your plant is old enough/large enough, with a few sets of full leaves, this means it can start getting some nutrients added, especially in such a small container, you can’t expect the soil to have enough in it for the entire grow. Promix shouldn’t have really any significant NPK, are you talking about the name brand “promix” or you just mean you used a commercial soil with 30-10-10?

I’m talking about the name yes, Ahhh part of me thought too much nitrogen because the leave are pretty dark. That makes sense on the next watering I’ll ph it at 6.5

OK, that is not 30-10-10, that is 0.3 - 0.1 - 0.1, so yeah, it has very very low, almost no nutrients.
I would say, yes, it is time to start adding a little food to your watering.
Your soil’s pH could be a lot lower than what you are giving it. Again, the pH in the soil would be informative on what to do next, as if it is really low, you might need to pH a bit higher to get the soil to 6.5 and you might need to pH your next water or feed mixture to say 7.0 or slightly higher to compensate for a very low pH in the soil.
