anyone ever hear of the term “ponytail”? has to do with plant training.

It’s just a different way to train. Most training involves moving the large growth of the plant in such away to expose the smaller undergrowth. People who normally LST pull larger growth out and away from the center to “open” everything up to light. Ponytailing involves gathering top growth and putting it into a ponytail in order to expose undergrowth.
I’m not a fan. I prefer to “open” a plant up instead. The leaves that get put into the ponytail are not being used in the same fashion as they would be like if they were opened up.

thank you, that is a very good explanation. seems to be a minor form of LST.
