So I harvested this plant on January 10th 2025, I chopped at about 11 weeks in flower. I said it back under 18-hour light schedule trying to reveg it. Well about a week or two ago I noticed these black specks all over the buds. Instantly I thought it was some kind of bug so I’ve been inspecting thoroughly with the loop and don’t see any movement. Some of the black specks were so big you can see with the naked eye then when I pulled the loop out I seen a bunch more so I mean I would think it was bug poop but once again I’m not seeing any bugs. Could this be the trichomes decaying or something like that maybe? Someone please tell me what’s going on here.
It could be. It could also be environmental.
Somebody didn’t do a bud wash…
@Myfriendis410 what do you mean environmental? Have you ever seen this before and it not be bugs? before and it not be bugs?
Not knowing your setup it’s hard to point to one thing. But it could be crumbs of soil for example.
Could be small pieces of dirt and debris from the floor or your vessels. Air movement moving dust around. Could be from your tray or whatever your trimmed on. If it’s bug poop, it is of a size that would definitely be from a visible pest. I’m gonna say it’s dirt/debris from the environment.
Looks like roach poop. You wouldn’t find anything lurking during lights on. Vacuum space free of any debris. If you have access to tobacco, I’d leave some scattered around the floor. In a tent, I’d put it along the floor poles behind the floor liner where they would hide.
