What do these 'Terms' mean?

First time grower… I have seen these “TERMS” posted on other chat rooms. I want to understand this New Adventure of Growing to the best grow ever.

#9 Wait for pistils to change color
#10 Wait for triches to turn cloudy

Trichomes clear currently (not sperm swimmers).
Maturity turns colors.

Pistils white fuzzies, change to brown, when maturing.

Cloudy (opaque or brown)

trich is short for trichome. They are the resin filled crystals on your buds that hold all the goodies. They look like little mushrooms under a microscope. As the trichomes ripen the mushroom head goes from clear to cloudy white to amber. The pistils are the hairs on the buds. Again as buds ripen the white pistils dry up and turn into red or orange hairs. Once that happens its time to start checking trichomes for color to determine final ripeness.
