I also heard roots in a fabric pot never get root bound , but it feels rock solid. Maybe from all the water ran through it and being soaked. I like what Bunger64 does with just sitting it into another size up bag. But I could not do that anyway now , I have a trellis on it. I hope that ph comes down. I’m going to sit on my hands for a week and see WhT happens. After last night it needs left alone Thanks again hope all is well
Got to find a good lubricant. Worked with a few guys that had them friction burns on there knees
Tried some sour diesel seeds sprouted in paper towel. And when I put in soil and has been a 7 days only one has even tried to grow out of soil other two have seemed to disappear dug into soil and nothing of the two. Question is or could it be the soil or bad seeds using happy frog soil have had lots of success with it but this was bottom of the bag ?
@Aaron1 You may be goin too deep with the seeds. I only plant 1/8 inch deep no more than a 1/4 in loose soil or coco.
I only went like an 1/8 like a pencil eraser depth. The soil was bottom of bag and dug them up and only one was still there and has a good tap root but other two were gone. Will get some fresh dirt and start over
Have had very good success until these and the old dirt lol
I love happy frog it’s good soil.
Yea it is I have very good success with it. I was a bit skeptical using the last of the bag since was extra powdery and didn’t seem to soak up water very well but didn’t think it would hurt but even after 7 days of watering with spray bottle and still pots are light and dirt seems to be dry. So sounds like back to square 1.
Good instincts about using the Bottom of Bag soil Probably should get another bag and mix it before prices go up.God only knows what’s going to happen after November. Keep a eye on temps at night getting cooler here
Hey yall my plants aren’t doing the best right now can someone tell me what the best mixture of these nutes would be with plants in week 5 of flowering im obviously not doing it correctly cuz my runoff is down even more today its at like 450ppm if anyone has any experience with this brand of nutrients
Sorry never used that brand. How do they look ?
Use 4ml per liter of each, add to bucket and stir in before adding next. They have a nutrient calculator on their web site. I use this, and vary between 2ml per liter and 4, but always the same for each. Mine are getting painted nails now so I lower the ratio to about 40ml of each in a 17 liter bucket.
I don’t measure ppm or tds, just look at the ladies to determine the strength they need.
@Spudgunner has you covered
Ok so i was mixing right i did the same thing mine was getting burnt tips with 3ml of each per litter so i backed of to 2ml and just water for a couple days and now ive got all this yellowing going on and my runoff is really low how often do you feed your plants? This yellowing is worse today and my other plant is starting to yellow on a couple leaves
Its worse than those pics today its lights out right now so i cant get any recent pics til later tonight
I personally still give cal-mag even on the water only days. Unless I’m flushing which I very seldom do.
I have 2 sets going on at the moment, a 4x4 with 3 plants in autopots get AN nutes, and the cellar-dwellers in my 4’8" crawlspace, 13 ladies in a 4x4 corner made of Amazon boxes and Tyvek white sheets and my old COB light getting Mega Crop by hand.
So mine are constantly fed, and I mix in 2ml per of Cal-Mag with most feedings, might skip once every 4 buckets. I just fill my bucket with about 17 liters of water, then 2 or 3 tablespoons of each part, stirring in between, then dump into the autopot reservoir.
Yours may not like 3ml per, might try 2per for a while. I don’t have water days, and with autopots, medium is always damp, no runoff since bottom fed. Even before the autopots when I hand watered them all, I’d give them a water day only once every 4 or 5 feedings (when too lazy to mix up a new batch ). And never watered to runoff then either.
I battled a similiar condition with my indoor last year. I they simply needed more food. I just couldnt bring myself to feed them enough. If your runoff is low feed again when you water. I wouldnt over water trying to fix this. But i would give full strength flowering nutes, i like jacks bloom booster, with a full strength cal-mag. I would keep feeding till your run off says its good. Im not a guy who checks runoff. Im lazy.
From what i understand if your in coco your gonna need cal mag with every feeding. Something like that. And lots of nutes. Not like soil that buffers your stuff first. More like hydro.
