Getting ready to flip them. I thought I had them in 2 gallon but they are in 1 gallon. Going to transplant then flip. Wish me luck
No need to transplant if you’re going to flip right away, imo , but remind me are these photoperiod plants and how old are they ? @Scott62 I was wondering about the pot in a pot also , thats pretty interesting.
How much vertical space do you have ? This is early to flip photo plants , keeping your pots smaller will help to control the size of the plants. Those 1 gal. should be adequate . Let me call in some help on this @dbrn32 @Bunger64 @Low @kaptain3d . Guys look over this situation and lets see if we can come up with a feasible plan for Onelife please.
I have a good 4 ft clearance to light originally I had 6 plants going and was going to do a quick turn over 1 month veg and then flip which I think I still will do. I took the 2 plants out that were a week behind and a different strain big difference in the growth. Those 2 are in a different home now. They will stay in veg till the others are done. Remember we were going for 1 main bud no topping no LST nothing because 6 plants in a 2x2 the 4 going into flower Monday they say 65 plus till harvest
We had a plan but i deviated because of those 2 that are a week behind and growth was much different.
I try to do 30-45 days in the veg mode photo or auto. Usually only transplant once. Ive move some to bigger pots befor flipping and didnt really see the benefits. I go all different directions but have had great luck. @RightAway thanks for the tag BrotherBeav.
I love all the colors. They are photos

Thanks for the great pictorial Capt.B. ok @anon98385745 . There is some great information for you. If your ready to flip I would leave them in the pots they are in . If you have space and time to veg for awhile transplanting is good. Your plants have a good shape and you have room for several buds on each plant in your space. I personally would transplant, and grow them as big as possible not flipping til the last possible second while leaving room to finish.
Good evening all,
I have a question that I was hoping somebody might help me with. I have a grow of RUNTZ and Applefritter. I am seven weeks into veg indoor using spider Farmer 4000 and currently running at 80% with temperature fluctuating between 76 and 80° and a relative humidity of 55 to 60%. I am growing in fabric pots with its medium being A combination of roots organic, Premix HP, worm castings and Dr. Earth nutrients. Water is declined and oxygenated with a pH of 6.4 to 6.5. I have continued to run my grow extremely successful this way for years and for the first time I have run into some thing I cannot explain. all of these plants are photo. And feminized and I noticed that one of my RUNTZ appears to be in a pre-flower setting. I have seen plants in veg before that. Throw small pistols here in there that just indicate that it is a girl and that is reassuring but this plant that I have now looks like it is two or three weeks into flower. the calx’s are not swelling Growth continues and she appears to be very healthy. I guess my fear is I don’t want her to HERMIE Destroy the rest of my crop as I use my product specifically for medicinal purposes, so I don’t have to take the synthetic pills. Our medical centers try to force down our throats. I have considered just pulling her just for peace of mind, but on the same aspect, I do not want to pull her if nothing’s wrong. Any and all advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated and I will try to include some photos. By the way, absolutely zero signs of any male parts.
Hey everyone! I am just looking for advice/ input on my current photos.
Here is a few bits of information:
- germinated seeds via the paper towel method
- germinated seeds were planted in solo cups on day 3 (happy frog soil, every day or 2 of light watering)
- I am now on day 17, ( 14 days since placed in solo cups)
I am planning on transplanting straight into 5 gallon bags with ocean forest (open to suggestions)
My questions are: do the plants look healthy for 14 days? When should I transplant? Is happy frog a good choice? Would the fox farm trio nutrients suffice for my grow?
Thank you in advance!
They look healthy but its time to transplant. @bwiggg welcome to the forum
Goodmorning @bwiggg yes as suggested, i try to transplant by the time the leaves are reaching over the sides. I use to use your soils, found they are awful hot for seedlings just be careful. Your looking like your on the right path. Welcome to The Forum greatest thing going.
Welcome to The Forum thats an interesting thing you have going on there, always one in the croud that likes to play different. She looks healthy i guess just keep a solid eye on her, shes that far along id wait to see whats up. Good luck Growmie
Welcome @TGS it looks like your plant is in flower, you probably have an autoflower plant. What’s your light schedule? If your other plant is a photoperiod plant you can continue both plants in there and flip to flower when ready and the auto won’t mind, just be aware that if you let the photo plant veg a lot longer then she’ll be a lot taller than the auto. Keep an eye out for nanners or sacs if concerned about hermies. ![]()
I’m a little over 3 weeks transplanted into happy frog in the 3 gal containers. Several other “seasoned” growers on here recommended cutting slits in the smaller bags and placing in larger containers. Reduces any type of transplant shock and the roots through the bags. A proven method. I’m fighting some bug issues now but hope to get that under control.
Many experienced growers recommended cutting slits in the bottom and lower sides of the smaller bags and eliminating any type of shock from transplanting. The roots grow through the bag. You can check out some of @Spiney_norman grows and pictures
Some cut slits, I dont. Roots grow right through the fabric.
Just set it in the new bag a few inches and carry on.
Is that 30-45 days after transplant ?
Thanks Now that you mentioned it I remembered how hard it is to get it out of one grow bag and into another. They Like to fall apart and stick to it. So that would definitely stop that. I was going to transplant Monday from a one gallon to either a 2 or 3 gallon bag. Still trying to decide what I’m going to do. The one gallon bags I have to water twice a day.
Do you also cut the bottom of bag off along with cutting slits? Thank you
