white lights that are driven by leds that are coated in phosphorous which provides a broad spectrum. For a time many believed that because green/yellow aren’t as influential in plant growths as blue/red therefore the market responded by making lights that leave out the other wavelengths. The problem is that green actual does play a significant role in photosynthesis. One way it functions is to penetrate dense canopy’s. Helping deepen the canopy altogether. Now that doesn’t mean you need a huge amount of green with little blue & red. But these new white diodes are putting out really good spectrums. With added blues & reds like 660 nanometer the purpose of the light can be focused on enhancing vegging(more blues) or blooming(more reds) results. The light you got(if its an R-spec from HLG) will be many times better than what you had! I can’t imagine a scenario where you will regret it. I personally use Mars Hydro because of bang for buck. But there are many great options out there. I would love to have 2 Electric Sky 300’s in a side by side setup. Alas can’t afford
