Not really sure if it’s needed. It’s just a personal opinion I have developed . I imagine it would make more of a difference with organic growers.

No doubt I have chloramine also. I responded in maybe this thread about acid neutralizing it but never got any responses. I may try a grow controlling it and see what happens.

I’d be interested in that experiment. Have no clue about acids, the only thing I have read on is when you remove the chlorine you end up with left over ammonia that has to be filtered out with active carbon filters . @DankGunslinger

I read humic or citric acid neutralize it. Few drops. But we cant measure that right? I ended up buying organic humic acid liquid from Jeff Bezos. Never used it. Have you for other stuff? @Watt-Sun

If I understood the city water guy here you can measure chloramine by getting the difference between free and total chlorine and that gives you a chloramine count. So maybe if free and total chlorine read the same that would tell us if it was removed ??

Would be worth an experiment at some point I’m fairly certain we have chloramine. Been thinking about paying to get a mail I’m test. Whatever way they test for everything I’m sure it smokes whatever we all think we have.hehe

I just emailed the water dept. head and he gave me the full run down. Might be worth a shot? Most towns/ city’s have to issue water quality report you might be able to google yours too that’s how I found out the city I work in used aeration towers and chlorine gas only.

Yeah I looked that up was confusing and I think I’d rather test it here at the tap. Also I’m gonna try to find those articles about chloramine one that I found about the acids was explaining it all on a molecular level. If I can find them I’ll post it ok my thread and tag you.

Thanks. The one in the middle is still showing a slight calcium deficiency despite upping the base nutrients to full strength. Going to have to add some extra cal/mag to that one I guess.

Looks more like magnesium, if anything. Same fix.

I was thinking mag at first but I’m getting small rust spots on my upper growth so probably dealing with a little of both either way you’re right, same fix :v:
