Vawton's First Grow

Day 23
20210608
Topped her off between the 2nd and 3rd nodes.
Rather painful to mar such a beauty, but I know it’s for her own good .
Adjusted the positioning of a few of the leaves to spread the light and will be thinking about how to proceed with the LST over the next couple days. She’s really starting to get a lovely scent now and I’m very tempted to smoke the trimmings :yum:

I’m in about the same size tent and just flipped the lights to start flowering at 5 weeks above ground. I wish I’d flipped a week ago. The plants have gotten so busy, I’m running out of room to spread the out any more. But we’ll see how it goes

Day 29. Trimmed a few low hanging leaves; a little LST to spread the canopy; and flipped the lights to 12/12. Bring on the flowering :hibiscus:

Here’s how much room she has to grow. I can raise the light a little if need be.

plant looks real healthy, great job!

Looking GOOD!

I’m about a week ahead on the flip and my two plants have taken over the tent.

Yours are looking great too, @Mags51 . Are you growing White Widow in the PotforPot too?

Yes to the potforpot setup, though I’m growing Blue Dreams (tall in back) and Gorilla Glue (in front) in 2 gallon pots. Actually, our setups are very similar. I’m in a tiny 2x2x4 tent, slightly weaker light setup and LSTing the crap out of them to make them fit the tent. I’ve managed to keep them only 6" above soil all thru veg… so now just hoping there’s plenty of space for the flowering. LOL

Though, considering my first grow… this is a HUGE improvement!

Day 36.
7 days from flipping to 12/12. Been watering about 5 pints every three days and she seems happy with that. Also, at each watering, been adjusting the LST to keep the canopy low and spread out.

Am I seeing a bit of preflowering here?

Nice to be seeing obvious flowers now. She still seems to be enjoying the 5 pints of water every three days. Guessing 5-6 weeks from harvest.

looking good, don’t bet on 6 weeks, be sure to wait, do not harvest early. the last two weeks of flower the buds can double in size. you got something to look at trichomes? and you got buttons :grinning:

I have the little clamp-on lens that came with the PotforPot kit, and also a magnifier app for my phone, but neither seem to work very well.

i bought a microscope that plugs into my laptop from plugable technologies that goes to 250x. i take pics and then look and modify them on paint 3d. it cost around 45 bucks. i have a jewelers loope also, but it doesn’t work very well for me. i like taking the pics so i can get a good look at approximate percentages of cloudy and amber. i’ll tag you into my thread and you can scroll up and see the micro pics.

Day 46 and my girl’s first legal day here in Virginia. Woohoo! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Trimmed a fair amount of fan leaves and watered six pints this time. She seems to be getting thirstier.

nice button, great job with the micro, it will help a bunch when it comes time to decide to chop.

55 days since soak, 26 days since flip. Doing a little trimming to improve airflow and light on the bud sites and giving her the usual 6 pints every three days. Also, raised the light a couple inches, with room to raise it a couple more inches if needed.
