@Growmoredank, it would be interesting to set that IR for water, and check it on an ice bath. But then this still wouldn’t tell you were to set it for a plant. I think it may work best set for the most the most porous surface. It seems to not have many soft substances on the list.
I will keep the one that I have, as it is workable knowing how much it is off on a leaf.
Agreed, I used to think that all this automation was not necessary! And you know what I was right, it is not necessary. But it sure makes things much easier to control conditions. Starting to rethink this attitude.
Best information I’ve found emissivity should be set somewhere around 0.94-0.98 for plants.
