Pineapple kush feminized seeds from royal queen seeds growing in organic super soil here is day time temp
IMO you went a bit too far. Flowering plants won’t produce much in the way of leaves so what you have now is what you’re going to have at harvest. I normally remove suckers close to the soil layer and selectively remove fans. This is done at day 21 flower and again at day 42.
I don’t go more than 1/3 of the way up the plant.
I think i personally would have left anything that had grew above the net on the plant but they look healthy!
You most likely wont have to defol again
Okay thanks for info @Myfriendis410 @JMBLeaf my plan is to only have big bud’s on the top and no popcorn bud’s so hopefully all energy goes to the top
You will be ok. A tad heavy for my tastes but there are some who like it real clean and do well. Keep all that are left and keep doing what you are doing I say.
Thanks @Smokesdaily @Storm have 32 tops think i will be okay @Smokesdaily is that’s called lollipopping
Lollipopping is done just before harvest.
The issue isn’t the understory being stripped but the removal of so many leaves makes it hard to build heavy flower. The leaves produce the sugars needed to build dense flower.
Okay @Myfriendis410 i know now thanks for the information I’m learning
It’s all good. It will take time to figure it all out. Hell; I’m still learning stuff.
3-years on forum, learning daily.
More, I hope we can do, too.
I appreciate the knowledge I’m getting from everyone this is my first grow with my new tent it’s a challenge
The hard thing for a lot of new growers is: Less is more. We’ve seen folks pushing insane nutrient loads and wonder why plant is burning. Insufficient light. Excessive futzing with plants (I’ve done it too). Bro science is another one: stem-splitting, ice baths, 48 hours of darkness, flushing, experts have proven do nothing.
I also think growers (that stick with it) should try different grow techniques/styles until they’ve found what works for them. From living soil growers to hydroponics there is something there that will suit them. I like coco/Autopots with Jack’s and it fits my (lazy) style.
You will also find that most experienced growers have taken the time to optimize their grow space. This does more for yields than anything else.
A grower should also ask themselves just how much flower they need in a given time frame. I only do one grow (indoor) a year but will yield around 3 pounds for 4 plants. I’ve got so much flower in the freezer it’s hard to use for food lol. I’m now down to growing one or two plants and the benefit is it’s much easier (refer back to lazy).
Ask questions: there are no dumb ones. We’ve all been there. The state of the art is always evolving too. You have a good group of growers dying for the chance to offer up solid advice.
Thanks @Myfriendis410 I’m doing living soil hydroponics seems like a lot of work to me n little room for error soil seems easy for me probably because that’s only what I done
