Thanks for everyone’s contributions to this topic. I’m really glad to see the scaling explained and it confirms some things I have observed and worked out on my own. The biggest takeaway here I think is that spending a little more money on a reliable EC meter rather cheapie tds would better serve the beginner growers if armed with the knowledge to convert to either scale properly.

I’ve running into a PPM problem. My run off was really high like 2000+. So for a whole week I’ve been watering with just plain water and now I am at 1150 PPM and a EC of 2.4. I used 160 ounces of water and got around 32 ounces of run off. Should I start adding feed into my water again? If so should I hold back to 80% strength or maybe even 50%? I am about a week into flower and started seeing yellow at the bottom of my plant.

Soil?? If so what was the final PH. Feed once the PPMs drop into 800 range and a PH of 6.5 with a drench to drought routine. If this is coco same as above but feed daily at a PH of 5.8. :love_you_gesture:

I’m using Fox Farm Coco Loco, but I’ve been told to treat it like soil. My run off PH is about 6.0. When I add my water into the plant the PH is 6.5-6.6.

Because it is soil with some coco husks mixed in. I too use the Coco Loco or did, now I use Royal Tupur due to my growhouse quit carrying just the Loco. Still have OF, HF, SF and LW from Foxfarms. (Ocean Forest, Happy Frog, Strawberry Fields and Light Warrior) should have just typed them out to begin with I guess.

I’ve done well with the PH of 6.3-6.8. It’s a blend of soil and coco. Increase your input PH to 6.8 for a few watering or feedings :love_you_gesture:

Appreciate the replies! These are what the girls look like today. Watered the one of the left and the PPM was at 1050 and a PH of 6.2 so it’s getting to the point where I’ll start adding feed again. Almost week 2 of flower as well!
