A question from a fellow grower:
with a dual set-up (top feed and nutrient base), is the top feed watering still important once roots have reached nutrient base? in other words, is running top feed still necessary when roots are sitting in nutrient solution? don’t mean to sound redundant, just wanted to make sure the first question didn’t confuse.
Do you mean a DWC hydro “bubble pot” set-up, with a top drip?
Yes, you don’t necessarily need the top drip after the roots have reached the nutrient solution in the bottom of the reservoir.
I agree. You can do it, but do not need to. Might help keep humidity down a bit also, which is good for the flower phase
p.s. Actually; It is nice to have a participant ask a question that is short to the point and understandable.
