Here in the north state the heat index has been “high” for months…
After both my beautiful girls showed signs of “wilting” for about a month I moved one inside today. She is under two t-5’s bulbs both with the same spectrum. Three months old to the day what kind of light schedule do I need to finish this beauty out??
Currently they are 6500K full spectrum. What bulb do I need for the flowering stage
please…??
Non Autoflower right ??
2700k and 12/12 if not in flower give them up to two weeks they will start flowering last few weeks go from 12/12 to 11/13 then 10/14 @yoshi helped me with this he is a great person to ask when in need alway ready to help
The wilting is from the heat drying them out and the high humidity with the heat , now are the plants in flower are starting to flower or still vegging ? I think 2700K is the flower spectrum bands but I never used T-5 or CFLs are any HID lights , only LEDs panels . But if you want to initiate flowering , you can put your light schedule on 12/12 and remember in the first two weeks is called " Pre-Flower " , a lot of new cultivators mistake this two weeks as actual calendar days of flowering and it’s really not , this is the transition time from a vegging plant into a flowering stage to become a budding plant which also your nutrients are also transitioned from vegging less and adding more bloom nutrients , so the first two weeks of the initial switch is preflower and after the third week you will notice your plant has transition , drinking more water etc , smell , foliage and other signs than after the third week is really your first week of actual flowering . That’s why you will read most new cultivators have plants in 10-12 weeks of flowering when it should only be 9 on average but some sativa’s can go up to 12 depending on space , climate , side of the equator and many other variables …hope this helps !!!
BTW, 6400k -6500k is considered a blue white light (mostly), 5000 - 5500 k is considered pure white or neutral white and anything below, usually you’ll see maybe something close to 3000, 2700, and sometimes the 2100 as red-ish white, if you will. Technically 5000k to 6500 k can be considered “full” spectrum and will work for any part of the grow, vegging/growing or blooming/attitud
N , a 400 watt HID system would likely be way too hot and overkill for such a small grow – 2.3ft by 1.15ft (base) by 4.6ft tall. Maybe two 40 to 50 watt CFLs or one 80 to 100 watt CFL in the 6500K spectrum seems most appropriate and most cost effective for you. You can easily find the 45 watt CFLs at big box stores and you can find the 80 to 100 watt CFL lights at specialty photography outlets or on amazon or e-bay for very affordable prices. Your local grow shop might even be able to special order this wattage if they don’t regularly carry it. But with enough ventilation and a horizontally mounted 125 w CFL it might be able to be placed high up in the grow space w/o taking up too much room and giving you enough distance from the top of the plants to keep the heat down and make things work. Also your vegetative growth/propagation/ nursery could be done with a very small CFL, 20 - 30 watt, in a different area or the same area and then switch to the higher wattage for vegetative growth to fill up the area before switching to a bloom/flower light cycle of 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness.
