You obviously didn’t read my post…
Flower is only 5% as efficient at photosynthesis as leaves are. Exposing “light to the bud sites” therefore doesn’t really make any sense since flower doesn’t actually do anything measurable with light. The leaves use light to manufacture nutrients (sugars) and those sugars are transported where they are needed by the plant via the stem system.
I thought it was a really good post that addresses a lot of good stuff.
It’s really no different from any other flower. Photosynthesis is required and it relies on the leaves to grow. Would you go out to your rose garden and cut all the leaves off of your bushes and expect beautiful roses? It’s common sense.
Trust me I read the post I just think your methods are very old and antiquated this is a new generation with new LEDs new nutrients and new growing styles we don’t leave all the leaves on anymore that was in the 70s and 80s it’s been proven time and again strip a plant down and it produces much nicer buds nobody ever said anything about taking all the leaves the topic was taking some more leaves

The only answer is…experiment…do the work/comparison for youself and see.
I will add that “more light to the budsite” as a general approach works the best for me indoors - end of story. I want to maximize flowers, not raw biomass. I would never severely strip a plant of its foliage but I certainly remove a ton of it to ensure an open canopy with as much light penetration as possible to chunk and frost the entire plant top to bottom. Without it you can expect a lot of larf once you get lower than the main cola zone.

there’s science sure but then there’s knowing how to grow cannabis which is totally different than the science that’s just like book knowledge and field knowledge they’re totally different you can you can read and learn science all you want but until you actually experiment you will never know 
Sorry about the absence. Life is gonna life. I see a few differing opinions so I will be sure to experiment a good bit with my next few grows using al the info! Thank you all again! 
When do you do your defoliation? I usually do one in bed pretty early and then another one later when I take clones a little while before it goes into flower. Then about 3 weeks into flower I take off branches not getting enough light and developing properly and big leaves that cover buds.
