To all my hydro growers

Is my plans correct?

Run the water pump lines thru bucket tops. I had some water leaks using uniseals on round bucket

To add to what @ bryan has to say, if you can make the pipe above the water line, you’ll have less leaking.
The intake pipe just make above the waterline, with a 90° going down. Again, keeping leaks to a minimum. @DrNoobThumb

Wouldn’t you want the pump inlet line at the bottom and the outlet at the top?

Bottom or top, doesn’t matter. But to save you the headache of leaks, put it in the top. @DrNoobThumb
The inlet poke in at the top of the bucket, with a 90° down inside the bucket.

Ok I get it. I’m was thinking when you said inlet it was at the pump not the grow bucket.

27 gallon res, five gallon recirculating bucket. 1 1/2 inch connectors. Just a $9 res from Home Depot and an old cat litter bucket
