Tigerlillys 2026 grow journal (Purple Haze in Fox Farms Ocean Forest)

Any amount will do, just use equal amounts of distilled.

Try some mag. Looks very light. Try 3 tblspn horticulture epsom. Scratch it in, water. This is 1 of the BASIC nute fixes. Non invasive. Cant hurt, only help. Will see results in a week. If not the issue you havent hurt a thing. Try next solution. Tighten up PH also.
Just my thoughts.

You can grow start to finish at 30%. Always do. Dry climate here. I personally dont chase it if 30 and above. Even 20 at times. I would stress too humid over a little low myself.

@Growdoc what will this slurry test tell me? I’m assuming that if it comes out higher or lower than the probe in the soil, how do I know which pH is correct?

You’ll need to check it with a good meter, but that will tell you exactly where you are with your media.

@growdoc So if I understand your comment… I either go buy a new meter that’s $$$ and good to do this slurry test, or I’m just guessing with my current meter?

Any other options? Like go to the local water treatment/well pump company in town with my slurry and ask them to test the pH with their meter? Something type of test kit vs buying a new meter? Any other options???

Nice setup! :star_struck:
You’re going to be a star just like @Dman1969 with such a setup! :+1:

And I see the pads there… What is it? A small dog or a cat? Pictures!!!

Pool places will test water samples for free

@Budbrother … The digital one I got wasn’t cheap…but wasn’t a $100+ either. I think I paid $59… So if I use mine and the soil and slurry read the same, can I assume my read is ā€œfairlyā€ accurate? What if I got one of those soil testing kits…???

They will test with drops so there’s gonna be some room for range there, but it should give you a baseline for your meters accuracy. Do you calibrate your meter? The soil testing kits are for re amending. No help to you

Ok, all have some questions regarding my new set up and the new light coming my way. So, @storm said the light I’m getting from him does 5x3 in Veg and 4x2 in Flower. The Spider Farmer SF1000 100W lights I have 1 light does 2x2 tent and I have 2 of these lights.

See the pics below. The pee pee pads measure the veg foot print of 5x3 of the new light coming. The blue tape outline measures the 4x2 foot print of the new light coming… So now for all my questions:

If the foot print for the new lights are 5x3 and 4x2, (veg/flower) does this mean, if the plant grows outside of the foot print, the light won’t reach it and I’ll have issues with my bloom?

If I continue to use my Spider Farmer SF1000 100W light which I have 2 and each light does a 2x2 tent, than can I assume if 2 side by side would do a foot print of 4x4?

Would it be best to use the new light on one plant and the 2 spider lights on the other plant?

Also here are details of my Spider Farmer SF1000 100W:

As always, thank you in advance.

@kaptain3d they are the pee pee pads for when we had our cat. I use them when to catch overflow water when feeding the girls and I miss the pots.
We had to put our baby down 4 weeks ago… broke my heart. She was 14 and went into kidney failure. :frowning:

I’m very sorry for your loss :love_you_gesture:

Yes, just calibrated prior to taking the reading in the soil.

Who is ā€œtheyā€ and I’m not sure what you mean that they test with drops and how that gives me a baseline for my meter???

@kaptain3d … German???

Pool places ā€œTheyā€ test with drops. It’s not a digital system but will be close. Judging by color leaves some range variance. Anyway, if they read different to your test, you have a baseline for your meter.

Sorry @Budbrother , this stuff is all new to me being a first timer… So a pool place will test my water that I’m feeding my plants with and then I use the meter to put in that same water to see if my meter reads the same as the pool place? If they are the same or very close, then I can assume my meter reads my soil accurately? Which confuses me a little…

Some pool places, at least where I am, have the magical machines now. They will give you a detailed analysis, including tds…

Nope, French Canadian. Zut de flute is my polite way of saying: Oh :poop:
