Having used them for two grows I have a couple of observations (Autopots):
Let the plants get big enough to have some root mass near the bottom before activating the system. Say, after the 5th node develops.
Have a catch tray in the event of a leak. This happened to me just last week and had to clean up 8 gallons of nutrient solution. Not fun.
Don’t bother with the air domes and just use fabric pots.
I think you could do a decent job with a Blumat watering timer, a pump, some 1/4" tubing and drip emitters. Probably around $100 for all of that. I think top-feeding does as good if not better than bottom feeding.
I did get decent yields from the last two at just under 26 oz of dried flower which is about average. Flower size at harvest was somewhat small but in a SCROG with many tops I kind of expect that. Altitude may play a role too as I live at a very high altitude.

To start- thank you very much for documenting your grow. Just reading through this thread has been super helpful.
I’m currently in my second week of veg, the strain is ILGM super skunk.
I’m having trouble with brown spots and the leaves curling. I know it’s a deficiency of some kind for some reason I’m struggling to narrow it down to what type of deficiency as everything I read points to a cal, potassium, or phosphorus.
I’m growing indoors under a HLG 100 R light
In Canna coco soil
Using ILGM Bergmans lab nutrients
3 gallon pot
Currently feeding at 6.0ph and 750ppms
Any help getting her back healthy again would be greatly appreciated

Quick update
Looks like we harbor keepers.
3 SB and 1 NGxSB
Total of 4 plants going in the 5x5 flower tent this weekend.
Went ahead and topped them today and I will transplant this weekend.
1 of the sb plants I am about 80-90% sure it is female but I’m going to roll with it.

I’d give those tops time to heal and grow out before flipping.

Game plan is I will transplant in to 5 gallon xl pots for autopot set up this weekend and I’m thinking maybe be 2 -3 weeks of lsting the plants to fill the canopy and then off to flower they will go.
So about 2-4 more weeks of training then flipping over to flower.

@Covertgrower quick question.
I’m sitting here at work on my lunch break and I just realized that when I switched my plants over to my 5x5 tent 2 days ago I totally forgot to switch the damn timer 
Big time stoner move is what I’m blaming it on 
Anywho I think the timer was on 12 off 12?
But I’m not sure until I get home this afternoon.
If it is on 12/12 can just switch timer to 18/4 and be ok?
Or are the plants in flower mode know and might of screwed up?
I need them in veg for another 2 weeks or so

Yes, go ahead and switch. Don’t feel bad, I totally did this my last grow when I switched them to the larger tent. In my experience when I screwed up the timer and it was on 12/12 not 18/6 I just kept them flowering, because they wouldn’t reveg.
Switch to 12/12, and they’ll keep going, and they shouldn’t lose any momentum.
