Yes sir
Vo adjust sets output voltage. In a perfect world should be about 54vdc. If you have multimeter you can attach leads to positive and negative trace on boards to test voltage. Then remove rubber cap and use #1 Phillips to adjust the pot. Clockwise up, counter Clockwise down. If you don’t have a way to test voltage, I think its roughly halfway in the middle on that driver as range is something like 49-58v. Overclocking voltage a smidge shouldn’t hurt, but proper is best. Once you get it set, pretty much leave the vo adjust alone.
The io adjust is the current. This is where you would want to adjust power levels regularly. Remove plug and use same screwdriver to adjust. The range is about 50% nameplate current all the way down to about 108% nameplate current all the way up.
Yes I have a wattage meter and it reads voltage and a couple others.
Sorry but I’m not to familiar with electrical and don’t no much so sorry if I ask some dumb questions in advance lol.but I do catch on pretty fast.
I think I would understand a little better if we went by watts.
So should I adjust with lo or vo?
What watts should I set it at for now while I’m still germinating?
That won’t read output voltage of your driver. Just the input voltage, which doesn’t really help you.
Oh shoot ok
So I’ll just do like you said and turn it down half way by feel, about half way down counter clockwise correct?
And I will be adjusting with the vo?
Or should I just leave it as it is and just adjust the height up and down on plant?
You’re going to mess with it at some point, may as well be now haha.
Set the vo first. Doesn’t matter if you go halfway from bottom or top. Halfway is going to be Halfway as long as you are close. If it were me, I would probably err to side of being higher than lower. Turn back and forth a few times if you have to and get a feel for the stops. Move to where you feel is the middle, then give a bump to the right.
After that you can pretty much do whatever you want with io adjust. You can watch power on your meter to see what it pulls at bottom and top.
I messed with it real quick and got the vo to dimm
.
So when I het home I will set the vo to a little over half way then when I adjust the io what am I looking for as far as the pull?watts or voltage?(hopefully watts lol)what numbers?sorry for the dumb question .
I am germinating in soil right now waiting for a sprout.
Thank you in advance.
For germination I would say 60 watts give or take
Thank @dbrn32
Really appreciate your time and information.![]()
No problem, hope you enjoy!
Definitely bright for sure.
Very nice light .
Once I get a little more familiar with how it works we should be a good couple lol.
Im going to play with it this evening when I het home from work.
Ok looks like I have her going for now ![]()
![]()
When do you recommend me bumping up wattage?
Thanks again for walking and talking me through the unit really helped me understand pretty quick lol.
Thanks again.
Nice journal. Plants are looking beautiful.
@Bighead500
Thank you very much.
It has been a great learning experience and it just so happens everything has been working great for me fortunately ![]()
I just hope
that everything finishes great also.
Hopefully they smell, taste and smoke great.
Turn it up some if you see them start to stretch, or once they have a few sets of true leaves. Then just maintain roughly same distance to canopy.
I was thinking leaving them at 60 watts for 2 weeks and then what do you think at 2 weeks raising it 90-100 watts?
I never really form that precise of a plan. Just kinda watch how plants look and increase in small amounts when I feel like they things look good and I want to try a little more.
Sorry for the dumb questions just totally new to these lights and setting them up.
Do I also have to adjust the VO adjuster higher as I higher the IO adjuster?every time I higher my wattage?or do I just leave the VO level about half way as is all the time?
Thank you in advance.
No question is a dumb question.
The board voltage is roughly 54v. In a perfect world you would set vo adjust at 54v one time and never touch it again. You don’t have multimeter to do that, so I provided you with thumb-eyeball method to get it close. If you had opportunity to set it properly, like a friend that’s an electrician or whatever, then I would set it properly. If not, just leave it where it is unless something specific warrants changing.
Once voltage is set, all of your adjustments can come from io adjust.
Sounds good
I’ll keep my eye on my girls and just make sure there looking healthy.
Thanks again.
